I share yer distrust for this legislation...
"Bush asks for a unconstitutional congressional blank check non-delaration of war against Iraq. Kerry votes for it. Bush, like some rogue tyrant, unilaterally takes the country into needless war."
Couldn't disagree more, Arator...at some point, America had to dive into the MideastMuck feet-first to reestablish some international credibility in order to win the War on Terrorism. We have been successful in liberating Iraq from a "rogue tyrant" with an impressive Coalition of the Willing (not unilateral at all), and the future recovery in Iraq will spark a resurgence in the Middle East that will rival the mid-century recoveries in Japan and Germany.
"Bush's father (and his spook protege, Clinton) get into some potentially deep doo-doo when the Iran-Contra arms-for-drugs black-op gets outed. Kerry helps to cover it up."
LOL...yeah, whatever.
"Bush's father (and his spook protege, Clinton) get into some potentially deep doo-doo when the BCCI spook-bank they are both associated with gets outed. Kerry helps to cover it up."
Yer definitely out there, Arator...how do you keep yer conspiracies straight? Or are they all inter-related?
"Bush's father gets into some potentially deep doo-doo as CIA director and Veep using the Vietnam POW search and remains recovery effort as a cover from running drugs out of Southeast asia (much to Ross Perot's disgust). Kerry helps to cover it up."
This is a new one fer me...are you alleging that Bush, Sr. was a drug-runner?!
"Bush and Kerry are not so distant cousins."
Do they know this? Or is this something you've discovered on yer own.
"Bush and Kerry are both Bonesmen, only two years apart."
This is undeniably true...
"Kerry tapped the Bonesmen that tapped Bush. Kerry, as elder Bonesman, attended and presided over Bush's creepy lay-naked-in-a-coffin-and-f*ck-a- skull, Satanic-death-cult initiation rite."
This could very possibly be true, but I don't see where that insures that forty years later, their political aims are indistinguishable. I despise what Dubyuh's done vis a vis domestic spending, and very well may vote Constitution Party this November as a protest. Still, Bush and Kerry are very different on a multitude of issues. Sorry, but I simply don't find your argument to the contrary to be very compelling.

To say *nothing* of me, Mr. President.
"He is a principled conservative."
He is that, alright; sometimes, if you watch closely he's so principled he cannot see the forest through the trees, though.
And he's by far alone, I was just as guilty as Mud & any 100 like him.
"But not so 'principled' as to hand Dims political office."
Let us hope not.
Doing so wouldn't be "principled," it'd be stupidity & on a collosal scale.
I've heard a lot of people suggesting this'll be their choice, too; so, there apparently a lot of collosally stupid people, on our side, who must be given a "Come to Jesus" talk before we even get to work dealing with the Liberal-Socialist 'Rats, quislings, theives, & liars.
Now I'm left wondering if there'll be enough time.
"I just thought I'd point out that Slim is a very practical conservative and tolerant of a wide variety of opinion."
Thank you Mr. President, for reiterating such an important point.
However, I've known this Mud-man (& indirectly his lovely family) character for some time, so if he didn't know before I genuinely care about him, his family & their best interests, he does now.
Because I just said so.
Not much I wouldn't do for that guy, & you need to know that.
"Okay, just my two cents. (That's about all they're worth...)"
I say your opin's worth a good deal more than most as far as I'm concerned, always has been, & will remain in the future, too.
So you go right ahead & but-in any time you like, your thoughts will always be welcomed, listened to, and respected by this poster.
That said, lemme tell you both of an "epiphany" (of sorts) I had, which started this past Sunday.
It was very early in the morning, around 7am & I was outside dinking around the yard when my neighbor, out for his morning walk, shows up to chew the fat.
This guy, we'll call him "Rob," is the Vice President for a [very] large, well know & respected organization, the nature of his business not germane to the discussion while his status in the community, by virtue of his position, is.
"Rob's" always been a "conservative" insofar as voting Republican all his 30 years of voting, yet, this man's not all that informed -- IMO -- on many (if any) of the political issues of the day, either; and, therein lies the tale.
I cannot recall exactly *how* the subject of politics came up now, because we were actually talking about the pending construction project to begin this week on my home, when he made a statement out of the blue that really rubbed me the wrong way.
He said, "We'd better get used to the idea of a 'President Kerry' because I think Bush is finished."
This guy isn't nearly as plugged in as even the worst of the lot around here; yet, he was making this matter-of-fact in yo' face comment to me, of *all* people?
WTF.
I didn't persue it, just said, "Think so?", & let it drop.
But I wondered how & where in the hell he got that idea since as I said, he's not (nearly) the Net Rat those of us who frequent the political BBs are.
If "Rob" gets info, it'd have to come from the local rag, WSJ, or alphabet network sewers.
Gave me a *rotten* feeling, because, I know although Rob's no one's "fool," he sure was being successfully shnookered this time just the same, & but-good.
Now switch to this morning (Wed).
I'm listening to the G Man & it's the on-the-hour newscast coming from the ABC shithole in NYC.
It's the usual mindless, brainless & worthless prattle; except, on this break ABC radio's doing a 60 sec "analysis" of the "Kerry Success Story" in the primaries down south.
The pimp newsreader's all glowy with each & every word, & then on comes the flakey ABC shill, George Stephanopolis.
George says, "The reason for John Kerry's tremendous success at the ballot box was due to his Vietnam vet brothers going to bat for him."
Immediately following that "analysis," the same noise talker very dryly says, "Bush is out west on a fundraiser. The President already has in excess of $100 million in his war chest."
That's it.
The way it was said, both the Kerry bit & Bush afterwards, almost made me puke.
Some of things truly good FReepers like Phil Dragoo or Aloha Ronnie have posted concerning the Kerry fruad's background in 'Nam were 180* from Stephanopolis' statement; only, I know the Stephanopolus lies will be accepted as the gospel's truth and as for the real truth?
Can you say, "AWOL"?
It's perfectly clear the Liberal-Socilaist sycophant quislings are going to try to run with that kind of bullshit; moreover, it's also quite clear -- to me -- the filthy quisling scum are ready, willing & able to suck every penny of this POTUS' funds dry IF he's to get his message out, and even then, they're going to screw this guy by negating every penny he spends with their "news" casts.
Just watch.
Then it hit me, the "war" (for me) begins right now.
Time for me to shit or get off the pot; or, permit the Kerry character to take this country even further into the abiss than we already are.
No "gray area" anymore, just black & white.
That this POTUS, regardless of whateverinthehell he's done fiscally, is being attacked by ALL facets of the rabbid left & from every direction has sickened me; and, my position up to that time wasn't helping matters, either.
It also occured to me a very similar campaign against Robinson has been going on for months, and using many of the same or very similar tactics.
It's a simple case of seeing the forest though the trees.
Well Mr. President, I made my decision; Kerry's gonna have to earn it himself because I'm going to do everything in my power to see to it he's denied that office.
Those who'd attack my guys are attacking *me*.
Moreover, if the brainstems behind the Botony Bay Leper Colony permit the worst of their orcs to attack a guy who's allegedly on the same side of the isle as they are?
Than they're not worth a damn, are my enemies, & can kiss my ass.
Enough *is* enough.
Now, I've got to use all my influence, knowledge & skills of pursuation to get this neighbor of mine up to speed & keep him from doing something very stupid, like negating my vote.
Know what they say, Mr. President, that "all politics are local."?
Well for me, this time?
...they're right.
Yo, Sultan...Dru's finally building that pool he's been promising...ROAD TRIP!!
LOL...MUD
IMHO, it's simply a response to the latest polls, which show Kerry taking the lead over Dubyuh. Fact is, though, the campaign didn't really even begin until yesterday, and Bush's flush with cash ($100 Million-plus), while Kerry's actually in debt!!
FWIW...I'm still predicting a Reagan'84-like landslide in November...MUD
Me, too, with the possible exception of my actually voting fer Dubyuh...he's gotta EARN my vote by running as a fiscal conservative!!
"Those who'd attack my guys are attacking *me*."
Wouldn't want to do that, considering that belt yer earning the right to wear...LOL!!
"Moreover, if the brainstems behind the Botony Bay Leper Colony permit the worst of their orcs to attack a guy who's allegedly on the same side of the isle as they are? Then they're not worth a damn, are my enemies, & can kiss my ass."
I've been hangin' out over at LP more today than I ever had, and I see the antipathy they've built up fer Dubyuh...rather amazing!! It's the same sorta hatred the RATS demonstrate towards him, IMHO. But if yer gonna save souls, you gotta go where the sinners are, my FRiend.

You bailed on the other place for the day?
"A" pinged you to a bones society conspiracy thread.
still retains the trace of a patrician Yankee accent although he has lived in Texas since 1962. That year he came south to join Zapata Offshore, the oil business then headed by George Bush.
I thought it was all hogwash untill I saw the part about the "Yankee accent".
I wouldn't put anything past a secret Yankee college society, they just can't be trusted you know.

"Recently his fellow VVAW supporter Jane Fonda has tried to minimize a potentially damaging picture of him a few rows behind her at the three day VVAW Valley Forge rally in September of 1970. And many members of the press fell for the line that it was accidental or coincidental including Foxs Chris Wallace and ABCs Tim Russert. But there were only 8 or 9 speakers that day including Donald Sutherland, Mark Lane, Bella Abzug, Jane Fonda. And far from being a casual audience member, Executive Committee member John Kerry, not Jane Fonda, was the lead speaker. Jane Fonda had been funding VVAW events since before Kerry had joined its Executive Committee. At Valley Forge Fonda said: My Lai was not an isolated incident but rather a way of life for many of our military. Their appearance together in this picture may be a lot of things, but it was not a coincidence.
Kerry has already confessed his complicity in killing civilians as accidents of war. But he has offered a classic Nuremberg defense that this was not only a commonplace occurrence thoughout the Vietnam war, but he was carrying out a policy with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command. His commander of naval operations in Vietnam, who specifically designed the mission Kerry and the other Swiftboat commanders executed, ADM Elmo Zumwalt, clearly disagrees. An examination of the truth behind this disagreement is not an attack on Kerry. It is a matter of vital historical interest."
Hanoi John Kerry's a War Criminal...MUD
Great decision. You have finally come to the same conclusion as the Sultan, albeit a little bit later.
xyz and Corin are strong "maybes."
Does that look right?
Yer not unique in thinking that, my FRiend...MUD
OK, Mud you pick up the big ole Virginny ham. jla, will you drive the Renegade? CherryBomb, ya gonna bring yer bikini, right? I'll grab my collection of 50's and 60's CD's. We'll have a BLAST!!
"Me, too, with the possible exception of my actually voting fer Dubyuh...he's gotta EARN my vote by running as a fiscal conservative!!
Kind of a big exception, doncha think?
As we are you. Meet outside the front of Sine's as close to 11:30 as possible. We'll try to get the big table in the front again.
