Thanks.
I watched that video the day it was first out.
I only wish it was on TV.

The New York Times owns the courts through marriage-beds and disseminated green cards.
The New York Times will allow neither truth nor freedom.

I haven't seen any yet.
Looks like the real campaign is starting and the internet is going to be a player!

From the article:
"The Democrat candidates have not aggressively used attack ads on the Web...."
The NY Times is lying.
Check out the link at post #18.
To: Lancey Howard
Sooo, how many lies by the DNC, er, NYT is in this hysterical article?
To: Lancey Howard

What is more important to politics? NYT or FR?
What is a better forum of political discourse? NYT or FR?
What is a more efficient source of political information? NYT or FR?
What is usually one to two days behind the information curve? NYT or FR?
What is a more comprehensive source of information? NYT or FR?
If you answered NYT to any question, you forgot to take your medications.

What I find fatally flawed in this article is the fact that they condemn the use of a medium that is 'unregulated'.
Therefore, if the medium is unregulated, it is an 'equal opportunity' forum for ALL.
They are pissed because they got 'one-upped?' perchance?

I am not defending the NYT, but in fairness, it's impossible for the print media to compete with the immediacy of the internet.
And remember, FR relies on standard print/tv/radio media sources a lot of the time for discourse.

exactly what it is... the Internet is unregulated so besides porno sites, the conservative ones are the most fun! *lol* Who wants to waste internet time reading more doom and gloom?

I honestly have to say that the internet ad they are talking about is very mild. Attack ad?? The moveon ad morphing GWB with Hitler - that was a low disgusting ad. The James Byrd being dragged by a (republican) truck was a low disgusting ad.
So much of what the media says is "vicious attack ads" are all coming from the dems. Can anyone refresh my memory as to a vicious attack ad from republicans?
To: Happygal
It must really gall journalism grads who work for the NYT to have their "professional" articles dissected and every flaw exposed.
Their proselytizing and supporting of their pet political stands are no longer unchallenged. Of course this is all old news.
What is surprising is how much the NYT still whines about the Internet. Their whining becomes more and more pronounced on each election year.
To: Happygal
True, but given time new sources of information will arrise.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
A forlorn lament against true freedom of speech, and of the press.

I look forward to it. I certainly don't fear it.
I'm a journalism graduate myself. :-)
Just spells an expanded jobs market for me, really!

"The article strikes me as a foolish attack on the web that they can't control."
Right. This is the NYTimes whining that people have agendas different from them. They barely notice that it was the media that has given Kerry a pass and forced Bush campaign to raise an issue.

Clearly the Internet is accelerating the pace at which politics move, said Jim Jordan, Mr. Kerrys former campaign manager. Translation: Lamestream media no longer controls the news. Thinking people can get unfiltered news from other sources.

Hmmm, seems the illustrious New York Times failed to notice that the ad got it's information from the Washington Post. Oh, I guess that doesn't matter to the kind of rag that employed Jason Blair and didn't even notice his blatantly fake stories.
