"The combination of lies and boys coming home in body bags is just too awful," Mr. Flanagan said, drinking coffee and reading newspapers at the local mall. "I could vote for Kerry. I could vote for any Democrat unless he's a real dummy." I can't believe anybody who would make the inane statements we see above, could EVER have been a Republican or Bush supporter to begin with.

George Meagher, a Republican who founded and now runs the American Military Museum in Charleston, S.C., said he threw his "heart and soul" into the Bush campaign four years ago. . . . "People like me, we're all choking a bit at not supporting the president. But when I think about 500 people killed and what we've done to Iraq." Right. George Meagher had no problem ignoring the 300,000 people slaughtered by Saddam, but is somehow all upset with 500 people killed in order to remove this monster from power. What a total hypocrite.
It don't believe this phoney was ever a Bush supporter to begin with.

The GOP still controls both houses of Congress and will likely keep that majority, regardless of the outcome of the presidential race. If Kerry wins, all bets are off as far as the Senate staying Republican.

Another BS "Republican" from the story:
"I feel like a complete traitor, and if you'd asked me four months ago, the answer would have been different," said the judge, after assurances of anonymity. "But we are really disgusted. It's the lies, the war, the economy. We have very good friends who are staunch Republicans, who don't even want to hear the name George Bush anymore."
How do we know that this guy is a Republican in the first place? Maybe that's why he's anonymous in the story, because he's really a Democratic judge!

And it's in the NY Times, so you know it just has to be true!

If Kerry wins, all bets are off as far as the Senate staying Republican. Odds are we still keep both houses of Congress, IMHO. The House looks like a lock for the foreseeable future because of gerrymandering.
The rats have to defend 19 seats versus 14 for the pubbies in the Senate with 5 open seats in the South, IIRC. It's possible that I may have to eat my words, but it doesn't look probable.
As long as the pubbies have one house you can have at least gridlock.

"Moby Republican" - now THAT's a keeper.
I guess it's the polar opposite of the "broken glass Republicans" of 2000?

Maybe they're both George Foreman's kids and Meagher is their middle name. ;)

Well that's a relief. I wouldn't want GW to lose a vote any other way.Exactly what I was thinking! Paleo-conservatives like me may not vote for Bush but it won't be because he isn't liberal enough. What a load! What a relief, I wouldn't want GW to lose to Kerry for the wrong reasons.

Don't worry. After Bush finishes moving half of Mexico up here, he will be the last Republican president.Well just so you help elect Kerry for good conservative principles. WE can't be electing him on anything less can we? Heavan forbid.

While sharing a sandwich at the stylish Beachwood Mall in this Cleveland suburb, one older couple ? Ah yes the nice NYT genteel older couple. Probably like that older couple in Florida, who intercepted a cell phone call to Gingrich and taped it and gave it to a radical leftist congressman in DC who then gave it to the NYT.
That "older couple" when caught said they intercept cell phone calls for "entertainment".
Does anybody remember these democart hacks names.

Bush is more conservative than Ronald Reagan and has accomplished more in 3 years than the Gipper did in 8. I will match his record against the REAL Reagan record anytime. If you want to debate it I will be back tomorrow night to prove it.

are we better off for having elected Bush? Yep Bush has pushed through tax cuts and hasn't sold any miltary secrets to the Chinese, plus signing a PBA ban and killing Kyoto, etc.etc.
I guess you are salivating for the Clinton days to return, IMO.
