Those bullets appear to be too large for the gun.

Reminds me of a commercial I saw promoting carpenter's union, where the parting shot was a guy saying "union quality" while making a WILDLY inaccurate cut on a piece of plywood.

I said the most common mistake that photographer do to guns is reverse the negative. I never said that was the problem here.
When I first saw the picture, I thought the photographer had used the wrong caliber because something about the magazine and the cartridges didn't look correct. They appear to be .40 Smith and Wessons by the deep cut of extractor groove. Then I noticed the location of the feed lips in contrast to where the cartridge is. Oops.
Someone on another website posted the picture but I did figure it out before I was told what was wrong. I thought I would share the fun.

I looked right past this. Gimme another coffee...

Those bullets appear to be too large for the gun. That's an illusion due to the bullets being in the foreground. The real issue is...
The bullets are loaded in the magazine backward.

Reversal of the negative would have reversed everything, it would not look the same as bullets loaded backward in the magazine. Yup.

Sorry to ruin a good humor thread, but the new Hk TRV 'Tactical Reduced Visibility' magazines can be reloaded with ammo either way and function properly.

YES, THEY ARE TOO BIG... Those rounds look like 10MM auto. I know HK doesn't make one of those.

I guess my question is,
how did they jam those rounds into the magazine like that. Surely someone must have noticed that it was inordinately
hard to load.

Man, you had me going there for a second. I was on the phone calling a gun buddy. He's reloading at the moment and you can hear the lead hitting the trays. I yelled into the phone, "You won't believe what this guy just wrote...."
I'm sure glad you had the disclaimer.

Compromise equals surrender. Anyone who knows about encromentalization would agree with me.
To: The KG9 Kid
Nope, I was mostly going, "Look what this guy believes....". For all knew, you could be right but if you were, a gun company would have to very foolish to create a design like that.

I don't agree with you. When you're losing, it's best to compromise. When you're winning, compromise isn't necessary.
