Why don't I believe that?

LOL i sound like a bleeding heart liberal for saying that the government should give more tax cuts? What planet are we on Naderville.

Yes the top 5 percent pay most of the taxes, but if you have two income house of two people making 50 - 70 grand a year then they fit into that bracket, you get your facts straight. The middle class stretches from 60k to around 500k a year. Subtract taxes and 1/3 of your dollar goes to help fund welfare for immigrants and prescription drugs for those who are elderly.

The scholarships given to middle class are usually merit driven not need based as they are already disqualified from merit based scholarship. My cousin is going to the local state university and his dad and his mom combined make less than 120k and receive no "need based aid" but they do receive loans that have to be repaid and the scholarships that he received from his high school.

Hey I have an idea, how about instead of letting the south west become little Mexico and taking all my money that I will be making and enact a school voucher program, wait a minute that is too liberal for you. This is more to your liking how about more taxes yeah because we all know 30% just isn't enough.

I didn't say that it was " okay " to fail, when one is born into a prominent family, at all. I said that some do. Just as some people, born into destitution makes it big, honestly and with integrity.

It is understandable, with the decades of PC junk, Liberal " white guilt ", and all of the other garbage, that you have a chip on your shoulder and a bad attitude, but that's just NOT cutting it here. And neither is your bleeding hearted stuff, or the "Eastern Elitist" smear of the president.

You really can let down that wall, you ARE amongst friends here, if you really are what you claim to be, a Conservative. :-)

That was one example. I also brought up the denial of AA yet the support for a White scholarship, why don't you eat that.

This is so Liberal I don't even want to talk about it any more this is just like those who say blacks born in middle class families that if you fail it is ok because the "man" and society are to blame and that they are after you.

Oh give it a rest. I could give you a "pulling up by the bootstraps" story that would reduce you to tears. Hell I was eating "soul food" before the term was ever thought of. You on the other hand are demanding some kind of moral pass because you succeeded in a "white man’s world" while at the same time saying that a white guy from a prominent family has no excuse not to succeed and when he does it was just because he is a white guy from a prominent family. THAT IS CLASSIC LIBERALISM.

LOL I am PC because I say he is from the North East. No one can refute what I say but you all attack my character....Huhmm this is so..so..typically liberal of you all. Why would I have a chip on my shoulder for white guilt? I have said that I understand the way of the world and able to deal with it and adjust. I didn't smear the president you just are so sensitive. This is usually typical in liberals but I guess it has infected some of those who are Republicans before Conservatives.

As far as letting down my wall I have and you all have attacked me for say that the president is groomed in the East Coast, it is true. He does have some liberal preferences when it comes to immigrants and prescription drugs for the elderly...attack those policies not me I am not the one taking tax money for socialist programs. You know Reagan wouldn't have tolerated the crap that is going on today but a lot of people have forgotten what a conservative is.

Someone or a two income family making 50-70k, is NOT in the top 5% of tax payers.

The president's drugs for elders is a PROPOSAL and part of a plan that will begin to dismantle and privatize Social Security. NO ONE IS NOW PAYHING FOR PERSCRIPTION DRUGS FOR THE ELDERLY!

Anyone earning 1/2 a million a year, belongs to the upper middle class and is far removed from those with a gross income of 50-70k, who DO get full benefits, which are phased out, the higher one's income.

You are NOT arguing with facts, you are making things up, and you are making yourself look foolish, in the bargain.

You're really off the deep end. Calm down, use facts, don't accuse others of wanting things they don't, and stop childishly inventing things to make your points. Better still, go talk to some REAL black Conservatives here, like trublackman, who know what they're talking about, unlike you, and who don't use race or class, nor phony made up garbages, to debate.

I didn't say I succeeded in a whites man world and thus want a pat on the back. You said that. I said I was blessed by the situation I was in and did what I was suppose to do. Do you comprehend that? I wrote it like 4 times. My father told me that no one in America has an excuse for not making it.

We are in the greatest country in the world and to say that someone didn't make it even if they where given all the necessary tools is ok, is not okay. Given the tools we all should succeed this isn't liberal, this is conservative to the bone.

If I came home from school with the argument you set forth that man o man I just didn't make it even though I was born and raised in a nice home in a good family and community I would be half killed by my father. You should expect excellence not just passing along. What you said is classic liberalism.

This world is dog eat dog. Deal with it.

I, for one, merely took exception to your calling him an "elitist," not for mentioning his high school and higher education schooling.

Did you know he was elected President of his junior high in Texas?

LOL This is from Cato the link is http://www.cato.org/research/articles/reynolds-040208.html

" Census figures say the top 5 percent collected 21 percent of all personal income in 2001, up from 20.3 percent in 1993. Measured in constant 2001 dollars, however, a family needed more than $164,104 to be counted among the top 5 percent in 2001, while anything above $136,539 would have qualified in 1993." sorry I am off 15-20 grand. So eat this story up.

This proposal is taking money because Medicare in general is paid by every taxpayer. Although the Medicare cost may not go up it still is a cost that people have to pay. How about we just get rid of this program in general. Makes sense to me.

Now I think you owe me an apology as you where off the deep end and thanks for saying that someone else is a real black conservative because being a real black conservative means agreeing with you hook line and sinker.

NO i didn't defend AA I hate AA because it has caused me more trouble than probably anything in my academic career and besides that it is against my general ideology. I was saying that we should stick to our guns, we don't support minority scholarships and we shouldn't accept majority scholarships, get it now.

Your abject lack of reading comprehension blows your "vaunted " academic skills to smithereens!

President Bush was born in Conn., but was whisked off to Texas, while still a toddler. While THAT makes him much more of an " EASTERNER ", than your claim on the continent of Africa,it is, nonetheless, incorrect.

That HUGE chip on your shoulder, is because of white guilt helping to put it there through AA and then having whites thinking that you got where you are through AA only, which, in turn, annoys you. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesh and you claim to be " bright " ?

I am not " sensitive ", nor a liberal. I object to error filled posts, by people, like YOU, who either don't know the facts, or ignore them.

And you don't know the way of the world, nor have you adjusted to it and you aren't dealing with any of it at all, if your posts are a correct reflection of yourself.

And, kiddo, I was a CONSERVATIVE,many long years before you were ever a gleam in your father's eye. Being a " Conservative before being a Republican " makes you nothing.Fringers and MORE CONSERVATIVE THAN THOUERS aren't Conservatives at all. As a matter of fact, a Conservative Dem, like Zell Miller, is a better Conservative than YOU Are any day of the week and a month of Sundays to boot. :-)

I never expect rational statements from liberals, but what is it I said that would provoke a liberal to claim the President disenfranchised minority voters?
