Monty, people are getting tired of Big Brother looking down their shirts and up their skirts. They're tired of all the various legislatures passing new laws but never revoking the old ones. Many good people are sitting in prison today because they broke a law they didn't even know existed.
Since it's almost impossible to talk to these Noblemen, these legislators, and even harder to vote them out of office, especially now that CFR is the law of the land, those who feel they have no other recourse are going to take their frustration out on the King's soldiers-- the police. I'm not saying that what is happening is right, it's just happening. For a better explanation, go to www.lizmichael.com/mcveigh.htm.
I'm not savvy enough with html to make that link live, but if you're interested you can cut and paste. By the way, don't be put off by the title of the Liz Michael piece, read the whole thing.

Are you an advocate of the tactics espoused on the website?

You may be right with the typing thing. A week ago I had 3 police cars on my quiet little cul-de-sac. Being curious and wanting to know if I had to be more worried than usual about things that go bump in the night, I walked up to one police car. I stayed about 3 feet away waiting for the officer to notice me. I probably waited for a good 45 seconds with no indication they'd even seen me. So I said something.
If I had bad intentions ...

jaykay, you have nailed this one better than anyone else,
everyone on this forum knew in their hearts this was the case, sad to say.
Why don't you monday morning quarterbacks give it a rest. You know nothing of the situation, absolutely nothing.
Better to spend your time praying for the grieving families of these officers and hoping for the eventual payback that must come.

Am I an advocate? I don't think so. Certainly not more so than my advocacy for death, taxes and war. As is pointed out in that essay, those who feel they are already at war might take that outlet, but-- while I sometimes feel embattled and under seige by Big Brother, I'm not quite ready to "shoot the bastards" yet. Next year? The year after? I don't know. Hell, my health being what it is, I doubt I'll live that long. Wwhen I consider the way this country is going, I won't mind not being around for the end. I am kinda sorry I had kids though.

I try to look at the bright side. However, in light of the truth that you speak, I can see nothing good that can come from this crime. And to top it off, there is no deterent/sparky.

Very sad day for the families of the constables. I live in Toronto and I hope times like this never surface here. The world is getting uglier and I think criminals have too many rights.
