I guess it doesn't really matter to me whether he was in battle or not. A lot of our guys are being blown up in Iraq and Afghanistan while attempting to dismantle mines or while destroy ammo (we lost eight in one incident the other day). I'm not about to say that disqualifies them as heroes. I personally think Coulter took this one way too far.

I agree. Any death of a soldier, even at home in a training accident or vehicle crash or any military related act, is a hero and died in the line of duty.
