they need to think carefully about what's on their permanent record from kindergarten." Oh no, not the infamous 'your permanent record'... permanent record as opposed to a temporary, altered-revisionist record for which the liberals are quite good at doctoring.
Maybe the truth is sinking in, after all: Yes, liberals, there is a God. Yes, there is such a thing as ultimate accountability. Yes, our record is in the heavenly books. I'd call that an eternal, permanent record, wouldn't you?

instead of Alex PolierWho is Alex Polier? I've heard his name on a lot of threads the last couple days I haven't worked out who he is though.

She is the former AP employee Kerry used to run with, according to reports.

"I read the Drudge Report, and there wasn't a shred of evidence there," he said. "You must have proof. Period."
There wasn't sufficient evidence for the Bush NG nonsense but Chris Matthews spent 5 nights talking about it. CNN dedicated hours of programming to it. The NYT, LAT etc. set aside front page stories for it.
Sabato is just another liberal apologist. Drudge did not "allege" that there was an affair anywhere in the initial report. The Dallas Morning News can't even get their reporting done correctly. The report from Drudge was that there were elements of the "major" news media investigating reports of a Kerry affair with an intern and that it had the DNC powers freaking out. I hope someone besides Rush points this out. The media is lying again and no one, except for the UK media, is doing anything to get the truth out.

The rules have changed, journalists say. The problem? No one is quite sure what they are.
The only rule that has changed is the establishment, mainstream media no longer controls the news. They no longer decide what stories are acceptable for public consumption. For example, the Moncia Lewinsky and Juanita Broderick stories were spiked. The recent Kerry story was reported on extensively in the UK press (including the Times of London) but not in the US press with a few exceptions. On the other hand, the mainstream media has taken innuendo and rumour to push the GWB National Guard story. The Internet has given the lie to the US media's biased and incomplete reporting. They are becoming more and more irrelevant. I would say to them, "Deal with it."

Good point. Also, the story does have legs. There is a name. It should be a simple matter to check out. The press should seek out the woman and also ask Kerry if knew her and had any kind of relationship with her, working or otherwise.

It's funny that no one has asked Kerry if she ever worked for him. If he ever spent any time alone with her. If she was on his payroll in any function. God forbid the media actually do what they scream the 1st Amendment was designed for and actually ask straight questions and get answers. They would rather "mold" public opinion about the 5 minutes of Alabama National Guard duty that Bush missed because he took a dump. I've lost all respect for FNC because they are no longer fair and balanced. They are now just as guilty as CNN, PMSNBC, ABC, etc. No one has hutspa or values investigative reporting skills any longer; unless of course it favore their political agenda.

Exactly. I would aver that it is not a matter of chutzpah or lack of investigative reporting skills, but rather, a partisan media that starts with a premise and finds facts to coincide with some predetermined result. The media has become part of the corporate infrastructure. It is all about money and advertising revenue.

These are "situational ethics" - ethics of convenience.
To: new cruelty
But after Kerry flatly denied the affair in interviews Friday, several media outlets began broadcasting and printing his denial with brief summaries of the original Internet report.
"Ah haaa! At last some facts to support our conclusion!" (/projectile vomit)

Didn't the National Guard story start from rumors? Why is an old rumor about a Republican more pertinant than a recent rumor about a Democrat? Hyprocrits, they are all hypocrits!

Fueled by Internet and radio, Kerry rumor grew into a news story... Fueled by Internet and radio, Kerry rumor grew into a news story could not be suppressed and kept silent by the "progressive" press and TV media...
There. I fixed it.
