I read what may be her first article. She called it her first assignment.
Of all places, it was in Kosovo.
She sounded young, idealistic, but willing to actually go and help people (she was working as a relief worker) and not just writing to tell others to do so.
Her politics weren't coming through in the piece. She didn't seem partisan. Probably was liberal, but not the ideologue type, from what I read.
