This won't hurt Kerry in the eyes of the same DAMNocrats that voted Klintoon in twice. If anything, this might help Kerry.

Well, real fun, I've done something REALLY painful. I went to DemocraticUnderground just to see what they were doing and saying. They've gone nuts. Apparently, Drudge is the devil. Apparently, it's all JimRob's fault, and Freepers were Drudge's source. Apparently, it's Rove's fault. Apparently, it's a disaster and Dennis Kucinich is the best bet, no Edwards, no Dean, no Hillary. Now, here's the other fun part. Because it was sourced to Drudge, the moderators at DU decided that they couldn't handle the thread, so they locked it. They haven't grown enough stones to actually pull it.

Also, I bet Hillary didn't want to go against Juliani or Pataki (NY would definitely be attainable to the GOP, and she could never capture the South) in 08 for that matter. I suspect they think her time is now!!!

The big networks are on this story. I found their lead:
"John Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran, who assisted young people, wasn't AWOL when needed.
"Kerry, who kindly opened his home at night to youths seeking jobs, wasn't AWOL when these young people knocked on his door to drop off their resumes.
"He offered aid and comfort to aspiring students, unlike others who were AWOL from the National Guard.

Best of the Web, at opinionjournal.com, has picked up the Drudge stuff.
It also points to a web page at Kerry's campaign web site. A picture of two young ladies has the caption:
It's never too early to change the world -- women interns are our future!
It's at the bottom of the page at:

And I'm glad you did. They are drinking koolaid over at the other site. The rats are freaking. And the silence is deafening from Kerry's people. I can't wait to watch the talking heads who cheerlead for the rats on television tonight.

Funny how long it takes the press to "investigate" a fellow democrat.
How would this have been covered if the story was about Bush?A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

Check out this crap:
_________________________________________
THE LEWINSKY PATH: I'm beginning to worry that the Republicans might be behind this smear-job on Kerry. So does a reader:
"Well, this may be it. As a life-long Republican, I have defended my party and its leaders through thick and thin over the years, but I don't know if I can do it any longer. I voted for Reagan in 1984 (my first Presidential election), despite my misgivings about the rising influence of the Religious Right and my displeasure at the ludicrous budget deficits, because of his moral clarity on the issue of Communism. I voted for Bush Sr. in '88 and '92, and for Dole in '96. Both were serious men, deserving of respect. Nevertheless, I was disgusted by the conduct of my party in the 1990s, vis-a-vis the Clinton scandals. That man has no moral compass, in my opinion, but the debased and lurid tone of the Republican attacks was reprehensible. The further intrusion of the Religious Right into the private lives of the American people, including the President, was not what I signed on for when I joined the Republican party.
When 2000 rolled around, and the "Clinton Wars" finally seemed to be behind us, I breathed an enormous sigh of relief. I was not overly impressed with George W. Bush (I voted for McCain in the primaries), but I was confident that the "grown ups" in the party would steer a responsible course for the ship of state. That has obviously not happened. The budget deficits are nigh unforgivable, and though I agree entirely with the vision of the President's foreign policy, the diplomatic execution has been, shall we say, somewhat less impressive than his father's. Further, the proposal to reverse the course of history and once again enshrine discrimination in our Constitution via the Gay Marriage Amendment, about which you have spoken quite eloquently, almost makes me embarassed to admit I'm a Republican. This is what the party of Lincoln has come to?
Now, after all this, it appears that the conservative/Republican diaspora is preparing yet another round of peeping-tom character assassination rather than a substantive debate on the very important issues our country actually faces, using Drudge as its point-man. I just can't take it anymore. I realize the feelings of one person are irrelevant in political calculations at this level, but if the Republicans really do take us back down the Lewinsky path, this is one vote they will most assuredly be losing in November."
I agree. If the Republicans are behind this, they deserve to be trashed. This is absolutely not something that deserves to be a factor in our current debate.

I'm wondering if these revelations might not actually enhance Kerry's status with the Dem faithful by more closely identifying with the Democrat deities Kennedy and Clinton.

O'Reilly radio program ... Mr. O'Reilly mentions the rumor, says it's "old news," that it has nothing to do with Kerry's qualifications for Office of President. Ssyas any discussion relating to throwing medals, etc. is nothing more than a smear campaign.
Anyway, he's talking about the rumors, FWIW.

This is exactly what some Dem posters on a Dem site said about Kerry, months ago. Amazing. Those Dem posters actually predicted the correct margin of win for Gov Bush months before the Nov 2002 election, and now they seem to be right about Kerry. Too bad no one in the Dem Party leadership seems to read that site nor care about those Dem posters who are accurately predicting all this stuff!
