"Before President Bush ordered the attack against Iraq, I spoke against it. I believed it was wrong then; I believe it was wrong now. It also seems obvious that time has vindicated my position. "Time does not stop the moment you declare it stoped..so time does not vindicate you or your first point! So your first line is bullshit ! In 100 words or less convince me of your position! I dont want to read through 20 paragraphs to reach the same conclusion I've met in the paragraph!

"Baldwin seems to be right on."
Baldwin has a right to his views, but this trash is so full of holes (lies) that I ask how he dares to call Bush a liar.
I would like to point out that Clinton-Gore had a plan to topple Hussein, and regularly bombed there, Afghanistan, Bosnia--by the way, Baldwin should print out Clinton's declaration of war in Bosnia, as I would like to read it. Bush inherited the plan to topple Saddam and improved on it. Does Baldwin even remember Clinton bombing aspirin factories to divert attention while he zipped up his fly?
Then all this blather about not finding weapons of MD. I think we have--just not stockpiles of them. The jury is still out on the "weather balloon" truck labs. By the way, can Baldwin read, hear and understand English? Dr. Kay said it turned out that it was even more important that we go into Iraq than was first thought because it was a more dangerous place than predicted--because of the influx of terrorists shopping for items and plans tot make various types of weapons. He also said there were ongoing plans to develop nuclear weapons.
No, Bush has not been as conservative as I would like; but in Iraq, he did the right thing.
Are some of these so-called self-styled conservatives going to pretend they are making the world a better place by voting for Kerry or not voting, which is still a vote for Kerry? Do so at the expense of our immediate safety. If Kerry gets it, he will be off to Europe with his billionairess to court the Europeans, beat the drums for UN taking over our military, apologize for all us ignoramuses that supported the cowboy president, and generally show himself to be a pandering, pompous ass. And they call Bush arrogant!
If you still have doubts that Iraq was a good thing, look up a recent article by Bill Safire in the NYT called "Spinning Into Control". He enumerates the good that has come from invading Afghanistan and Iraq. "Our" world is a safer place now, and the terrorists world is narrowing and getting more dangerous.

Just because Baldwin calls it "truth" does not make it true.
