Two men face murder trials for deaths of pregnant wives

Jackie, I was just browsing over at Websleuths and there is this fantastic story going on about the letter. I can't quite figure out what happened, because the story keeps changing. Hopefully one of our own local FR reporters can fill us in!

From what I can gather, a woman (without a lower set of teeth)approached Jackie P. in the bathroom at the courthouse. Evidently this woman (homeless?)said she had walked from San Jose (?) to Modesto and just happened to end up at Laci's house on Christmas Eve. She said Laci gave her a glass of water and then 2 guys shot Laci....but then I guess she also says they slit Laci's throat while Laci was walking the dog???!!??

ROFLMAO! As if this tale isn't tall enough, THEN the woman proceeds to WALK back to San Jose and runs into Amber and Scott having dinner in a restaraunt. Oh, and by the way...the 2 guys who slit/shot Laci were at the restaraunt too!

I guess Laura Ingle from KFI interviewed the woman, so hopefully we'll get a report from our locals.

I know, how can one little toe hurt so much?? At the time, I screeched and sat down on the floor and had to hold my foot in my hand tight to try to stand the pain. My smart alec husband said "You should have stepped on the cat, we've got three you know"!! That just made me mad at him. LOL

Sounds like something my husband would say! But then, he did once own that book, "101 Uses For a Dead Cat".

I can imagine that having a cast, or whatever, on your foot, must be REALLY difficult when you're already battling snow and ice!

While it is true that I'm married to a person who was callous enough to own the book I mentioned in my Post 355, I would like to assure all cat lovers (of which I am one) that this person has been made to properly atone for ever having bought that book. LOL.
