This article from the Telegraph contains some of the same details that are in the no byline Hipakistan article posted earlier. Obviously there is some connection between these two published stories. (Same source? Same writer? Plagiarism?)
For those interested in even more details see the link below. I don't know how much stock can be put in a Hipakistan story, but its an interesting read.

How do you even know Khan won't do it again.
To: Freedom of Speech Wins
How do you know he will ? He's been REMOVED from his job...or didn't you bother to read the article?
We can't kill him. What do YOU propose President Bush do about it, other than what has already been done? Remember, we don't know what else has gone on behind the scenes.
To: nopardons
I wouldn't bet that Kahn is still wealthy.
One of the great things that President Reagan developed was the ability to clean out deposits in Switzerland and other other number account areas for those who dealt in illegal drugs and weapons.
They would go to sleep at night as millionaires and wake up as paupers the next morning.

You've got a great memory and I bet that President Bush took care of that, long before any of this ever came to light !
To: nopardons
Removing him from his job doesn't prevent him from doing it again.
Why trust Pakistan and Khan?
What Bush and Powell did here may be better than nothing, and is better than whatever the Democrats would have done, but it is hardly enough, not even close to enough.

If a man makes profits through illegal insider trading you would probably support the money being given back.
Here a guy passes information illegally that could kill many many people, but he keeps the money.

The money issue can be dealt with later, the important thing is to expose what was going on!
And stopping the further spread of weapons .

His money is either gone or has been "locked up". We knew how to do that decades ago, and I'm sure that our defunding crews are better equipped now than decades ago. This is why the $oddomite and his family had massive amounts of cash, blood diamonds and other hard assets instead of numbered accounts. I sure that the $oddomite lost a lot of money in his numbered accounts when we started Desert Storm I.

I'm sure the the treasury of Packistan is richer and those who sold this information are a lot poorer in their numbered accounts.

You need to look at this less emotionally and more realistically. President Bush is
not EMPEROR OF THE WORLD after all. Pakistan is a sovereign nation. We can't do whatever we please. But, we sure did a LOT!
And WHO says that the president " trusts " Pakistan, anyway ?
To: Freedom of Speech Wins
The money is seldom, if EVER, " given back ", when someone is caught for insider trading.Sometimes they're fined, they usually get jail time, but not always. What world do you live in?
And neither you nor I know IF any of Khan's money has already been confiscated; which it very well may have been.
To: Grampa Dave
I'm certain that you are correct, in this. :-)

It is now being reported that Powell had a "lengthy" phone call with Musharraf over the weekend. Powell apparently invited himself to Pakistan for a visit to discuss OBL, Taliban and Nukes. It is being reported that the visit, later this month will be a FOUR DAY visit. (I find the length of the visit to be unbelievable - that's a whole lot of talking!) Here's the link:
http://www.indianexpress.com/full_story.php?content_id=40727 Nevertheless, this Pakistan nuke issue is going to get to be a story that will eventually push the Iraq WMD story way off the front page (unless there is a clear tie-in, which may yet happen).
