Kerry told Fox News. "I've never made any judgments about any choice somebody made about avoiding the draft, about going to Canada, going to jail, being a conscientious objector, going into the National Guard."How outrageous! I hope he repeats it often. Then everyone who has ever served in the National Guard or is a Conscientious Objector will vote for Bush. (I include Conscientious Objectors because many of them have arranged for alternative service. Their service is honorable)

"He may not have been a Tide fan... but when a guy is forced to ignore football..." The statement proves Gen. Turnipseed is a Tide fan.
No Auburn fan would've ignored football to such a degree.
War Damn Eagle!

"I wonder if his friendship with his first wife's brother ever survived the divorce? Anybody know?" Many of the quotes in Yale Candidate: John Kerry was serious, but he knew how to have fun are contemporary and came from Thorne. There is also a photograph of them greeting each other at a rally in South Carolina.
They still appear to be thick.

Four days later he filed papers requesting discharge of duty in Vietnam. The request was approved and he returned to the USA. According to the latest National Enquirer (all the news that's fit to print and even some that ain't), Kerry requested transfer out of Vietnam on the grounds that he had received three (3) Purple Hearts.
I have a close friend who was shot in the chest on Utah Beach (Normandy) on D-Day. He almost died and spent months in the hospital thereafter.
He has one (1) Purple Heart.
Just reporting the facts.

Perhaps you will remember the cartoon by Bill Mauldin where Willie is talking to a medic and says "Forget the Purple Heart, just give me an aspirin."
