If you don't like the word unappeasable go pout to Charles Karuthammer who came up with the term to describe the hard core right wing. I agree with the term. There are some on FR who say the Partial Birth abortion ban is not good enough, that the tax cuts are not good enough, etc. etc.
I guess to some of these people a Kerry or demo Presidency is good enough.
Anyway earlier in this thread you were freaking out about alienating the people who are going Constitution or Libertarian. they can't be alienated there out to alienate people who don't agree with them 100%. It was the same thing in 2000 on FR. Bush supporters outnumber the third paritiers by 8 to 1.
You may go on with your flame war.

No, y'all are trying to alienate people who had no intention of going CP or anything else.
You hunt mosquitoes with shotguns...and do it in a crowd.

I see no benefit in flame wars,or always responding to those who will question my credentials.I want Bush to win the election. Some of us have been denigrated and are denigrating back.
It's not going to get Bush reelected and Kerry kept out of the White House.
Let's keep our eyes on the prize!#640

OK, diotima, time for a little bitter humor from a conservative who's been involved with campaigning.
It's been said that one conservative does the work of ten.
Question: Why does one conservative do the work of ten on a general election campaign?
Answer: Because the other nine conservatives didn't bother to show up.

No, y'all are trying to alienate people who had no intention of going CP or anything else Yeah right. These people have their minds made up over their one pet issue, IMO. I have said many times that the demos are worse and a Kerry presidency would be 1000 times worse to them than a Bush Presidency. The response I got back from one of them(Biker4Bush) on another thread was Kerry is only a concern to the people of Massachusetts, thus washing his hands of the reality and positions of one of the two people who has a viable chance at the Presidency(Kerry). Sorry I just get tired of dealing with people who are not into the modern day reality of the politics.

This thread shows the effect when the koolaid is made to strong And Missouri, resident expert on the subject
Just an opinion from someone who takes his one vote seriously.
Come Nov., I'd bet the freepers who are saying that they won't vote for President Bush will hold their noses and vote for him because John Kerrys mug shot and record will be in our faces via the media and that alone will motivate people to vote against this Ted Kennedy surrogate.
In the meantime let the debate go on about President Bush's negatives and pluses. I for one think he's wrong to grant legal status/amnesty to illegal aliens or sending 15 billion dollars in AID's money to Africa. This doesn't make me a "demon". I work with a bunch of democrats and they are no fun to debate with because they have no sense of history or knowledge of how our government works or they have their tin foil hat on so tight it cuts the circulation off to their brains. I'm surly not going to learn anything from them but debate amongest ourselves is usually quite stimulating.
There is an old saying. "If you want to hide something from a democrat, put it in a book".
To: Dane
By the way, since you're using FReeper poll numbers, remember this: the vast majority of FReepers, while supporting the President's reelection, also disagree with many of his domestic politicies: immigration, spending, education, CFR, the AWB, etc.
Their views are quite consonant with the views of the mainstream of the GOP out in the country. I know. I talk to them every single day.
Realism is one main ingredient in a GOP victory over the DNC communists in November...so get real.
To: MEG33
Let's keep our eyes on the prize! Exactly, but there are some on FR who think the real prize is a Kerry presidency, so they can complain even more and wallow in their morose state that their world isn't perfect.
I'm done, had to get that out.

Were you aware that during the 2nd world war, our deficit was 100% of our GDP. Of course WWII ended.
Do you see any end to the growth of behemoth govt?
To: Poohbah
Alot of truth to that.
Of course, the converse is that 'moderates' usually consider it sufficient to write a check.
God bless em though, we need the checks! ;-)

Did I mention I spare no one who cross posts on TOS and goes over and denigrates our posters,FR,and JR?If I go elsewhere and do that, could no longer treat FR with respect,I would be gone.

Realism is one main ingredient in a GOP victory over the DNC communists in November...so get real I am real, I know that a Kerry Presidency would be 1000 times worse on immigration, spending, taxes, and the 2nd amendment.
I point that out to some on FR and they don't want to hear the reality.

The place TLB set up as his own political playpen. IMO, it is more a rubber room for political unappeasbles.

No flames from here. In fact, I'll protect your back!
Excellent post. Another prime example of the ability of pragmatic conservatives to see the big picture. This post is a keeper.
