No speech code.
Just what you said.
Reasoned balanced debate, with respect for other posters, without the dishonest broadbrushing of conservatives.
To: FairOpinion
Those people you rail on aren't even on this thread.
Yet you go on railing.
To: sauropod
I merely stated FACTS:
"Anyone who is not voting for Bush, is voting for the Democrats. It's very straight forward and true.
People who claim to be oh, so conservative, but their admitted actions will result in a Dem victory are at the very least hypocrites."

Thanks for coming back on the thread as a vivid illustration of the problem I have been referring to.
Perfect.

"Certainly those who claim principled conservatism as their own and don't demonstrate it open themselves up for derision...."Funny how this works, EV...
ALL conservatives who reject enlisting into the cult of the GOP's watered-down, compromised version of "principle" -- are actually deemed the lesser of "principled conservatives."
Band Of Brothers FR ain't.
To: FairOpinion
Which truth are you referring to?
Or are you going to be continue to be so vague as to be irrelevant?
To: F16Fighter
It's like the GOP itself. An uneasy alliance.
But my point on this thread is that it is primarily the conservative-bashers who are threatening to further fracture the alliance.
Of course I know that you understand that.

Damn..... I thought the embers had died out and were cold to the touch..... Seems there must have been a spark or two embedded deep under the pile so that when they were stirred a bit the embers began to glow again....
It's gonna be a long uphill struggle until the lever pulling event arrives some 268 days hence. An entire season of tilling, planting, harvesting and going to market must be done in the meantime...... well on to other things. Gotta get my tools and implements in order....

The excellent original post was meant to make people THINK.Baloney.
It was meant to inflame.
To: FairOpinion
P.S. I didn't think it was an excellent post.
To: MEG33
I agree with your #640.
But telling them to do it even if they don't like it is not the same as telling them, "do it even if you don't like it, you idiot".
Sometimes imprecations like that are needed to bring somebody up short or to their senses, but to keep hammering them with insults, and to continuously treat them with disrespect, is almost certainly going to produce the opposite of the claimed goal.
Some of us have to wonder about the motives of those who continue to do something that is so obviously counter to the interests of the President's reelection, and damaging to the unity of the Republican coalition.

Good hunting.
To: FairOpinion
"People who claim to be oh, so conservative, but their admitted actions will result in a Dem victory are at the very least hypocrites."Do you see ANY "hypocracy" in a President who claims to be "conservative" jeopardizing US security as hundreds of thousands Mexicans and perhaps alien criminals are streaming across the border at Mexico, yet rewarding the same people with eventual Amnesty?; A President who abandons enforcing a conservative principle by advocating massive government spending and growth?
Still waiting for just ONE person to explain HOW this promotes "conservative principle," and WHY any "conservative" President would impliment such liberal follies in the FIRST place.
To: EternalVigilance
I have tried to temper knee jerk reactions to implications that I am one insulting thing or another because I don't have the same admirable qualities as another.
I repeat ,I am wanting to win an election, not an argument.

I won't flame you, but I'm not convinced. When I see spending REDUCED (not reduced increases) when I see the DEATH of the Dept Of Education, when I see the DEATH of the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts), when I see the DEATH of these socialist beureau's, and a severe reduction in not only spending AND my Taxes, THEN I will have reason to rejoice.
Until then, Bush is still Democrat Lite.
