ELISABETH BUMILLER the author of this piece, often comes off as "Bush Basher Lite" however I think her use of the word 'village' was innocent enough.

Laura Bush is as American as apple pie and just as scrumptious. She is the product of 'fly over country' not from the eastern or western seacoast areas where liberalism abounds; people who haven't a clue as to what America still is - they live day to day with fads, parroting what they hear, believing the rest of the country is out of step with their vacuous, progressive ideas...it is they who don’t know who the heck they are...it is the Laura Bush’s of the country that know who they are, where they’ve been and where they’re going. This makes the Hillary’s who condescendingly look down on the “fly over folks”, madder and madder......Mrs. Clinton was not respected as a first lady nor the co-president; HRC is NO lady to begin with and a poor representative for our nation – trash is trash no matter how rich or poor; HRC’s profound lack of Class, is remarkable in that she got so many to make her a senator........poor judgment is not an excuse – poor upbringing is. New York’ers judged the book by its cover rather than read and discover what a charlatan they elected.
