Excellent Ann column! That proctologist line was classic.

Addition of no more than pointed ears and a few strands of hair (which the glabrous one lacks), and voila, Carvile cum gollum.

The Democrats idea of patriotism is to emulate French cowardice and call it bravery.

I knew if I churned deep enough, I would find the Ann Coulter thread.
After all the reasoned arguments that the Democrats have provided for explaining that Bush should not be President, their message still boils down to three words, repeated endlessly - "Bush is bad." Never mind that they do not define "bad", only that he is.
The fact is, there may be perfectly valid grounds to criticize the Bush performance (he has not much exercised the veto, for example, simply signing into law what in some instances was very bad legislation), but the Democrats are too vulnerable themselves to bring the criticism on those grounds.
Yet they are no less vulnerable on the issues on which they have chosen to battle the President. Bush a draft-dodger? Bush willfully misreading intelligence? Bush ordering troops into combat without UN approval?
They are jumping without a parachute.
As an aside, Janet was disinvited to the Grammy Awards. So far as anybody knows, Justin Timberlake has not yet suffered a similar fate.
