The concept of self-depreciating humor is obviously something totally foreign to you so I will explain:
Its where a person laughs at himself and gives the audience the chance to laugh along with him.

human nature will always trump any form of government imagined when that government is actually put into action. True, which is why true anarchy is such a phantom, but a republic can stand everything but consolidation of power.
