Yes. One, if not the largest, mental hospital in the state.

I should know! I spent a lot of time there! lol

My grandparents worked there for 20 years each and my mom did for about 2 years. I got stuck hanging out there between shifts as a kid.

They had "levels" of psychotics. From simple drunks drying out to drug addicts and total nut cases.

As a 10 year old, I found it fascinating!

"I wonder what the new movie is about?"

C'mon, there's got to be some good spoof movie titles for this setup...

It is sad to see that so many people completely missed the message that Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor tried to send when making the Billy Jack Films. This man is highly intelligent and is one of your country's foremost psychologists who lectures in a number USA Universities.

His films dealt with sociology, psychology and spirituality in manner that was obviously over your heads. Bruce Lee also wrote and produced a similar film dealing with the esoteric called The silent flute or the Iron Circle in which Jeff Cooper also starred.

I have had the privilege of traveling with one of the cast members of the Billy Jack films and found him to be a most amazing man. The Billy Jack films attempted to shine light on serious social problems of the times and show people there were other ways of thinking. The character himself undergoes many challenges, some from which he learns and some he does not. Which is why he ends up in so much crap all the time).

It seems to me that if you good people spent a little less time degrading and insulting this man and actually took a look at who he is and what he has done with his life, you may be a little surprised.

I should have mentioned that my previous post was not directed at you. Yours was merely the last name on the list so for expedience I replied to your post. It was a general comment.

To answer your question.... No, I will not be voting for him. I don't know why you think I would be voting for him.

I understand about the last post thing. I do that too some times.

As far as Tom Laughlin/Billy Jack goes, I give him a tick more credit than most Entertainment types who only make rude noises from the sidelines. I'll have to do some research to see exactly what else he's done with his life since the movies petered out.

Regardless of what he tried to do with those movies, most people went to see them for the fight scenes. Other than that, I judged them to be pretty typical Hollyweird simplistic leftist stuff.

FYI. Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor are Husband and wife. And I think Tom would make a great president. people just need to get over themselves and realize he really does want to change the world. That is why they made the billy jack movies.

And all this time I thought it was just for the money. Shame on me for casting aspersions on his motives.
