Crude, rude, talentless and just plain stupid. The inanity of it all would be making headlines if it wasn't upstaged by the even worse halftime garbage.

I don't know why people are complaining about the half time show. Given who was in it (Janet, et al), and who produced it (MTV), both of which were publicized ahead of time, it didn't take a lot of brains to avoid it if you don't like that sort of thing (which I did, BTW).

As for the commercials, I missed the first quarter due to being at church, but of the ones I saw, I liked (in no particular order):

All the AOL/American Chopper spots
The Chevy soap in the mouth kids
The young Jimi Hendrix Pepsi commercial
Grandma/Grandpa fighting over Lays chips
Romantic sleigh ride
7-Up rolling dunk contest
Staples godfather company office supply man
Dale Jr. returns lipstick
