"His gazumping of his own ministry indicates the seriousness with which he is taking the insinuation that he or his allies tried to pressure the judges in the Juppe case." Gazumping?

M Chirac seized charge of an inquiry into alleged telephone taps, break-ins and violent threats against judges investigating Alain Juppe, the former prime minister and his heir apparent, convicted on Friday of organising illegal party funding.Have a heart, Blam! Without Saddam's money, how is a crooked French politician going to live? And Chiraq was Saddam's good friend and bag-man.

M Halphen summoned the president as a witness in the case, but after months of delay M Chirac succeeded in having the law on presidential immunity changed to protect him from legal suits while in office. Now that's impressive.
M. chirac would make a good Latin American president. He would fit right in.

He's certainly doing a good job of turning France into a banana republic.

Judge "Catherine Pierce" has an Anglo-Saxon name. Zoot! Bush and Blair are probably behind this.

It sure sounds like the son or grandson of le pink panther is investigating M Chirac and his feloonious ami's.

Just watched Private Ryan last night. AFter seeing how many of our troops were SLAUGHTERED while trying to come ashore at Normandy to protect the French from the Germans....and then the French turn against us ...I personally don't give a damn about Chirac or what happens to him. If he is involved in scandal that's his own doing and so let him take his punishment like a man. Oh wait...he's not a real man like our troops were at Normandy. I forgot.

Isn't that an American Leopard frog on the French flag?
