But in fact, the Times own investigation four years ago disproved the allegation, when it uncovered records showing that Bush had made up the time he missed in Alabama with the permission of his superiors.Bump

What's the Kerry campaign getting into here?
Remember, this guy, Kerry, joined the Navy to evade the draft that would have put him into the Infantry or the Marine Corps.

Here is Poodle F'n Kerry by those who know him and love him - Socialists. If his team wants to talk about desertion, President Bush's team should start talking about war crimes.
"An article in the New York Times magazine of last April 29 and a report on the CBS program 60 Minutes II revealed that former Democratic Senator Robert Kerrey, recently installed as president of the prestigious New School University, had participated in a death squad attack in the Vietnamese village of Thanh Phong in 1969. Kerrey, the commander of a Navy SEALS unit at the time, was accused of responsibility in the killing of 21 women, children and elderly men.
It was soon revealed that the media had reports of Kerreys involvement as far back as 1992, but had covered it up. The revelation of the involvement of this prominent politician in war crimes, when it finally did emerge, clearly touched a raw nerve. Kerrey responded evasively, vaguely acknowledging wrongdoing, at the same time pleading memory lapses, and also defending US aims in Vietnam and contemptuously rejecting any call for an investigation of the incident."

What had happened was that I searched in Google regarding John Kerry. The article popped up and I didn't carefully read it was Bob Kerry. I feel better that I'm not the only one to screw that one up, but I still feel like I just had a manure shower. Boy, did that post EVER stink!

President Bush received an honorable discharge from the Guard in Sept. 1973, something military experts say would not have been possible if he had gone AWOL.That's all that counts!
The DemLibRats are desperate.

If the guy had bothered to read the article he referenced he would have seen that the title at the top said "Robert Kerrey".
