Hee hee. How does it feel to be on the receiving end of the political game, Krischer?

I guess State Attorney Barry Krischer is also going to accuse the Florida Bar Association of "trying to impede the Rush Limbaugh prescription fraud investigation" for political reasons.
The Florida Bar Association denounced Krischer the same time as the State AG for identical misrepresentations made in this hatchet job on el Rushbo.

Barry Kritscher is a Democrat. I don't think there's any chance his office is gonna indict Rush any time soon.

I think Krischer overplayed his hand, he realized if he could bring down Rush Limbaugh, he would be the liberal media darling for years to come -- fame, fortune, higher political office -- anything he wanted, if he could just bring down Rush Limbaugh...
So he cut a few corners here and there, lied a little, did some unethical things. No problem, he figured, "The ends justify the means..."
What he didn't figure on was Rush fighting back, he probably thought when he began this investigation that Rush's career would soon be over and his supporters would abandon him in droves. He never imagined that Rush would be more popular than ever and he never imagined what would happen when rush went "nuclear", fighting back with the best legal team money can buy, as well as all his clout with the political establishment, and even the public.
I think at this point Krischer has realized he screwed up and is just looking for a way out where he can save face and what career he has left.

Crist's office pulled out of the appeal one hour before a Jan. 12 deadline imposed by the appeals court, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for Krischer's office. What does this mean?

FL Atty General Charlie Crist is the Roadrunner.
SA Barry Krischer is Wyle E. Coyote.

Facedown...did you read the whole story?
The FL AG office never files briefs for their SAOs on CIVIL cases.
This case is in CIVIL court because Krischer has not filed any criminal charges...for over a year now.

How can Rush say with a clear conscience that this investigation is political when the FL AG also plays partisan politics?
If Rush is truely innocent, he should welcome a complete vetting of everything. That's the only way he'll keep his good reputation clean. If the FL AG insists on hampering this investigation there will always be a cloud over Rush.
Whatever credibility Rush has left is waning very quickly. The FL AG's actions can only make me wonder just what does Rush have to hide?

I think you are wrong. Rush has not lost any credibility with me.
To: DaGman
Nice try but very lame.
Rush is hiding nothing.
The Palm Beach State Attorney is leaking and planting false stories in the press.
You believe them because your bias forces you to.
Now the SA is misrepresenting what he was told by the AG and FL Bar. He has accused an ETHICS official with the Bar of acting under political motives, as well as the AG office.
Rush has not been charged with anything despite an investigation that has been going on for over a full year now.
The real credibility problem is with the Palm Beach SA, Barry Krischer. Wyle E. Coyote.

How can Rush say with a clear conscience that this investigation is political,if Rush is truely innocent, he should welcome a complete vetting of everything. No charges were ever filed. Everything else is just noise.
To: DaGman
If Rush is truely [sic] innocent, he should welcome a complete vetting of everything. Same sort of reasoning is used by folks who say, "I don't mind the police searching my house. I've got nothing to hide."
Until they are on the receiving end of an in-depth no-knock search. And the rights guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment are too important to throw away just to clear away a supposed "cloud" - mostly in the minds of people who didn't like the guy much to begin with.
Aside from that, this isn't partisan politics on the part of the AG. This is not a criminal matter because the local police haven't filed charges and the SA hasn't asked a grand jury for an indictment. The SA was assuming that the AG would assist on the appellate brief because in his mind it's already a criminal case.
I think that the SA's misuse of the AG's good name (same as he did with the Bar) got somebody in the AG's office taking a second look at the appeal and thinking, "Hey, wait a minute. This isn't a criminal case."
That's not politics -- it's a natural reaction to being flim-flammed by the SA. If somebody flim-flammed you, would you be doing them any favors?
And I don't see how you can say this is partisan, unless the AG and the Bar agreed ahead of time to join in a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy against the SA . . . and somehow hypnotized him into publishing privileged material and claiming that the AG and the Bar said it was O.K. . . .
