"Most American's can't understand that the Palestinians don't want Peace, they want the Jews dead & gone."
I agree....we've known this for a while now.
"Once we come to that understanding, the quicker we can tell the Israeli's to go ahead and do what they have to do."
I know you mean well by that comment, but doesn't it strike you rather odd that it's up to Americans to understand the situation and it's up to Americans to tell the Israeli's when and where they should defend themselves? Like we have done since 9/11, the defense of this nation was not left up to anyone but us and we acted on it. Why can't we support the Israeli's in defending their own land?
We know the Palestinians are never going to want peace, as do the Israeli's, but it's not us who has that constant threat hanging over our heads like the Israeli's do. Permission or no permission (that sounds so arrogant), I support the Israeli's in their quest for peace....even if that means bombing the crap out of the Palestinians. It's time they learned that the Israeli's are peaceful people, but they will come down on anyone who does harm to them....just like we are and what we did.

Israel is constrained by the same mentality we are. The USA isn't holding them back at all. It is their own lack of resolve. We happen to be afflicted by the same madness.

On DW TV, an Arab woman thanked the kidknappers of Israeli soldiers while she was waiting for her freed loved one.

You're right, we didn't need anybody to give us permission to beat the snot out of the people who attacked us once. The poor Israeli's live in fear, everyday of their life. I don't think Israel needs our permission, I just think that we should let them know we understand their predicament and condone letting them do what they have to do.

I just want to say for all my Jewish freeper friends, I pray for your safety always....And my Christian belief
tells me that G-d will never let anyone! destroy Israel and the Jewish people, yes they will try and never succeed because the moment that it looks like EVIL might win: The divine intervention of Messiah will come and finally rid the world of all G-d's enemies. We than shall know what it is to live in a world with True Peace and Happiness...

Israelites must be careful not to let the lessons of the Holocaust strip them of the will to survive. Americans are also beset with this challenge. Once a people resolves to eradicate your people from the face of the earth, all restraints must be rethought. Should Israel be incremental in its response? Of course. So should America. Have either taken steps that would clarify our true response to terror against our peoples? Not even.
