I simply send notes to the White House. But then, I am interested in keeping the White House out of democrat hands, which apparently not everyone on this board is.

Bush has proposed MASSIVE spending and programs that make Bill Clinto'ns domestic Policy look Conservative.
So yes, we are trying to keep the White house out of the Democrat hands. Unfortunately based on his social programs/spending there is one currently residing there.
That is what you get for being loyal.

conspiratoristo, can you please take me off your ping list unless it relates to the military?
I'm sorry, but the histrionics and overreaction on this thread from a few words in a Drudge report are nauseating.
This board has become a sounding place for malcontents, and an every bump in the night is reacted to as feigned emotional outrage.
I will continue to support this President because he is a strong Commander in Chief, because he is conducting a War on Terror that is keeping us all free, because he is honorable, courageous and deserves my respect.
If this forum has turned into a place where healthy dialogue and disagreement has been replaced by the rantings of the unhinged (as witnessed on this and a hundred other threads), then I don't want to be part of it.
I suggest you work hard to find a candidate who meets ALL your qualifications for 2008, if you are so dissatisfied. But I am going to work in 2004 to reelect George W. Bush as if my life (and my family's) depends on it..........because it DOES.

You guys are not into winning converts. You are simply interested in hating Bush and insulting people. So much nonsense. We are interested in... oh, how did Jim put it?.....working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America.
I don't much care about this NEA bill because it is a pittance compared to the total budget.
A little anthrax is better than a lot of anthrax.
Apparently you think that if one disagrees with a portion of the president's policies, one should get on this forum and hurl insults at him and announce one's intention to vote for someone else.
It's important to praise the President for behaving like a liberal, because that is likely to get him to behave more like a conservative. It is imperative to vote for Bush, because he's a Republican, no matter how much like a Democrat he is.

The destruction of the Bush presidency is a self destruction. He'll be re-elected.
THEN the liberalism gets started in EARNEST.

Sorry but that is what you will find on a CONSERVATIVE website.
If you are looking for a loyal sheeple mentality, a support him at all cost, you could either try DU where they had that down pat for 8 years of Clonton or you could try www.mindlesskoolaiddrinkingbiggovernmentaddictsforbush.org

I'm not shocked by RINO's any more, because -- sadly -- Republicans have turned into Democrats and Democrats have turned into Marxists.
It leaves Conservatives without a political home, but... so be it. I need not vote for anyone in the Presidential slot in 2004.

And I think you should probably concentrate on PM Howard's budget.Never let it be said that Miss Marple doesn't dish insults like the rest of us, she does it with class.

We need to wake him up somehow. He's awake.
It appears the biggest difference between Bush and Clinton is that Bush is faithful to his wife.

And just imagine what he will attempt once he is re-elected.
No way in hell he has any intentions of stopping his Liberal social ways. It is the WAY HE IS.
IT will only intensify.

Don't waste your trip to the voting booth. At least vote for someone in the Presidential slot. Be it Constitution, Libertarian, or whoever. That one vote might not make a difference this time, but it will start sending a message to the Republican party of just how many have left the reservation as their big tent continues to move to the left

Frankly, Laz, I don't value your opinion on this issue. You have already told me you are not voting for President Bush, so it is obvious you are a member of the opposition.
I continue to support the only person who has a chance to get elected, and although I don't think he is a pure conservative, he is far more conservative than any alternative. I do not want a President Kerry, Clinton, Clark, or Dean.
To: DoughtyOne
In the year 2000 I posted the premise that the election of George Bush would essentially be the death knell of conservatism in this nation. I said at that time that it would be at least 2008 before we could hope to place a true conservative back in the White House. I don't think I was far off at all.Your prescience is impressive, and I was a fool for cheering for Bush wildly, as I did.
My choices this fall will be voting for Bush and getting some of what I want, or voting for a democrat and getting about zip of what I want.
That is a principled stand. My principled stand will be to refuse to vote for a liberal, whatever the party label.
