Sheesh! How much does 1,100 rounds per minute weigh? Emptying that clip (which must extend from floor to ceiling) must feel like emptying a 100 pound sack of potatoes.

What's odd is that Scotland Yard has reportedly been confiscating full-auto Armalite AR180s, MAC-10s, MAC-11s, and Bulgarian Skorpions in raids on 'Yardie' gangs for years... and they're all much more capable a weapon than the Glock 18. The IRA has been converting M1911 pistols to full-auto for decades.

There's something particuarly sensationalist about the Glock 18 that's not evident from the other guns that are already floating around in the UK's underworld, I guess.

Maybe I'm just jaded in that I don't see the Glock 18 as much more than a regular old garden variety 9 millimeter Glock 17 with a hiccup problem much less than 'THE MOST TERRIFYING GUN IN THE WORLD' (*cue bass horns and tympani roll*).

Um, perhaps so they can point it at one of HRM's subjects and steal their money. Also to shoot back at the other criminals, who are the only ones also armed.

yeah, barrel distortion from overheating is a problem when you fire 1,100 rounds in a minute.
