Got any proof to back up this claim? It's in the article links I preveiously posted along with critique.

Devoid,
Who called you any names? Like you, I was merely stating an opinion with a twist of humor. Thicken your skin;the character your screen name is based on would prefer that.

I vote because I want my opinion heard and it is a civic duty to voice that opinion. I vote for who I think has the best for this country.

I guess our voting motives are a little different.
I vote for who can actually do the most good.

Our motives seem in many ways are the same we both vote for what we think is best for this country. We just have different views on how to do it.

So why then should a conservative follow him?Because your only alternative is a Dem. Don't you get it yet?

Actually, I think our motives are quite different.
I don't vote philosophically.
It's very important to me that my one precious powerful vote be as absolutely constructive as possible, in support of who can actually implement the very most good for our blessed America.

doodlelady, you vote for the person who will do the most GOOD for the country, and that requires the ability to win.
Any vote out of 'conscience' that results in the potential election of someone who will HARM the country (i.e. a Democrat), is ill considered, wasteful, and potentially dangerous.

I think that it's a part of these ultras brains that isn't properly functioning.
They would rather harm the country and make themselves feel better than do what will help the country most by accomplishing a larger percentage of the goals they claim to support.
As an educator, I find it interesting to observe. They are so sure of themselves, and yet so very wrong.

I am in a very interesting position in this election. I will be voting for who I think will do the best Constitution Party and rep on all down ticket races. This action can not harm GWB (but hopefully if enough do it will make some in the party think). I live in TX and if GWB is in anything near the danger of losing TX then he already has lost to many other states to have a prayer of wining. He won TX by over 65% in 2000. I can protest and vote my conscience without damaging the best viable candidate there is in this election.

I live and work in Barcelona because I happen to like the city. I am an American by birth and lived there for 28 years and hence care about my country. I am very grateful for the freedoms that I have and want to keep them. That is why I oppose politicians who curtail the freedom of the individual.

I value conscience very highly.
Principle, to me, is the ultimate standard. That's why I could never ever vote philosophically.
Principle is not an ideal, it is real.
America has never been, nor will it ever be, a Utopia. Conservatism is the cement of civil society, the very root and gravity for growth. Without that structure, America will collapse.
I have high hopes and faith in the good sense of our electorate to know, if not instinctively, at least through the knowledge forwarded through Free Republic and other unselfish outlets, what is the best possible plan for America, and the world, at this perilous time in history.

I live in Florida. Would you give me the advice to vote for the Consitution Party candidate?
Not that I ever would.

In your case I might avert my eyes and hold my nose and press the button of GWB But I am not in it. I live in TX.

Just what has the CP done? Ever?
I realize that it has no chance of winning the Presidency. However, there are plenty of lower offices that could be won by a sufficiently energetic campaign. Having gone door to door myself, I know the value of "pressing the flesh."
The CP, to the best of my knowledge, has never won a local election. Which tells me it isn't trying.
These people--the CP and other paleo groups--aren't dummies. They know that the cash came rolling in, every day of every year of Clinton's nightmare regime, from all the dupes who bought into their line. Since Bush was elected in 2000, there isn't such desperation out there on the Right, and their coffers are depleted. Is it any wonder they're doing everything they can to ensure a Democrat victory?
