Thanks too for the always-gracious DC Chapter hospitality. It was great to see you all again. Will post a link to my article when it is published.
Please remind daughteroftgsl to practice her "Kumbahya."
Working in the booth this year was a hoot and very encouraging. The amount of students at CPAC this year gave me added hope about the future of this great nation. This was my tenth year at CPAC and each year it seems like more students attend each year. They were all extremely enthusiastic about the whole experience. A huge contrast from the fools that I see at the ANSWER rallies - clean and mature.
I spoke to one student that got his university to pay for a large contingent of conservatives to attend because it was a club activity. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall as the university officials were cutting that check.
Many of the visitors were not familiar with Free Republic so I gave them a quick overview and made sure that they all got one of the flyers with the URLs for both the forum and the DC Chapters' websites. Also sent many over to the main FR booth and the network to talk to people there about both the forum and getting involved in their part of the country.
They loved the photos from the Freeps as well as the video Staytrue put together. Most also watched Billf's great powerpoint presentation. They showed that we can have a lot of fun and still get our points across.
Met a lot of wonderful conservatives as well as some notables over the three days. Looking forward to next year.
Thank you for all you do, DC Chapter! :-)

Barr is such a nice guy, he didn't quite understand the liberal battle cry :Mean People Suck". I had to explain that the libs love that bumper sticker, how they just assume the moral high ground and feel free to be mean, telling people they suck.
Guess it's a good sign he didn't quite get it at first. It's really a good example of the Bizzaro World of liberals.
That place is too trying to go to. It's chow down, look up,...chow down look up,...chow down look up,...chow down look up,...chow down look up,...chow down look up,....all night long. Except for the occasional dollar bill toss.
