The way most cop depts are, $500,000 could be a few handfulls of plants, with several pounds of dirt on the roots.

We get one of these evidence missing stories practically every month. I have yet to hear of anyone ever getting busted for stealing dope from an evidence room.
It seems obvious to me that the boys are just splitting up the booty!
