I'm waiting for the media's breathless reporting of Paris Hilton's brilliant political analysis. Unfortunately, she was busy getting drunk at the Sundance film festival, and had to miss the Cronkite bash.

"George Bush is like a drunken, unfaithful spouse who's gone out and cheated on us so many times that at this point we just accept it....

The Democratic Party, drunk with power, is like the unfaithful spouse who, while secretly seeing his/her lover (socialism), is living a lie, cannot speak of her or be seen in public with her, but is in love with her none the less. I believe this is why the Dems act so schizo sometimes, they are in an untenable situation as they cannot reveal who they really are.

How do people this stupid function in everyday life?

They don't:

Bob Williamson acted as her accountant and, upon his death, Hutton discovered that nearly $13 million, several years' wages, was gone. In his will, he left $2.5 million to his new wife, and nothing to Lauren Hutton--the rightful owner of most of his money.

"...accusing him of saying Iraq was an imminent threat to the U.S., when that isn't at all what he said..."
You're absolutely right. Go back and see Bush's State of the Union delivery, there wasn't one mentioning of imminent threat but the lying RATs keep reciting!!!

Well, Nancy Pelosi's illusional performance on Tuesday was a good indication where the RATs want to go.

I think the question should be why do we in this society worship stupid people?

For a thoughtful analysis of the SOTU speech you must read Peter Robinson's article in this morning's Wall Street Journal (available online for paid subscribers - bummer!) Who's Peter Robinson? Maybe the kind of thinker this society should elevate.

Hillary Clinton's attempt at humor was just pathetic. And how much do you want to bet that all the lackeys around her laughed like it was the funniest thing they ever heard?

The STD stand was really a slap at his predecessor who refuses to unseal his medical records.

Ms. Mosbacher, accepting some sort of Warner Brothers cartoon logic, said, "That's an insult to you!"

George Costanza said: "Oh yeah, well the jerk store called and they're running out of you."

[wish she coulda come up with a better retort to the Hutton Hore.]
