I have friends who work in blue-collar jobs, and their shop stewards were spreading this rumor last year. I hadn't heard anything about it, and thought it was a blatant lie.

This is when I started reading it and putting it into function. Not everyone can go to college, wants to go to college, or it cut out for college. College shouldn't be entree to making a living. Of course I graduate in May, so it doesn't help me. But in the long run, it actually does - a growing economy and full employment keeps the politicians off my wallet.

By the way, Kennedy isn't mentioning that these new classification positions PAY MORE MONEY! THEY WON'T NEED OVERTIME!!

Exactlly! There may be a few employers out there who will try to game the system, probably the same ones who do it now. When he just railed about millitary training, he didn't mention that the same soldiers he's talking about not being able to get overtime because their training got them a better, higher paying job when they get out.
