Evenin' Mayor.
Been a very busy day, but needed to drop in to say Howdy and thanks for the Military Monday thread.

Had the pleasure this weekend of shaking hands and offering a personal thank you to a member of the US Air Force. He's home on leave and will be heading to Kadena AFB in Okinawa. He just finished spending his time in England and Kuwait.

Our country is in good hands judging by the likes of him.

Also, got a great surprise e-mail last night from an old shipmate who found my name on HullNumber.com. We'll be re-living our shared memories in the coming months, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, Thanks to all our Armed Forces, Past and Present.

Yesterday I sided with The Mayor rooting for the Patriots against the Colts, and in the game with the Eagles, I cheered my Carolina Panthers into a win.

As a consequence, The Mayor and I will be meeting in spirit at the 50-yard line at the Super Bowl, outshouting one another for our respective teams..:))

It was only real cold Sunday night. We have a propane heater along with a electric heater so the pop-up stayed fairly warm. Camping is DK's new passion. Me I like to put MEAT on any fire he builds. We had T-bones yesterday, burgers the day before.

I Love woodworking, it has to be one of my favorite things.

I'm looking for a prayerful bunch. My son is just fresh into Iraq this last week, and I'm recruiting folks to pray for him.

Everynight when I am Praying with my 8 yr old Daughter we ask Our Heavenly Father to Protect, guide and give his Strength and Wisdom to our Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan..

Good Night everyone and God Bless our Troops. Fox news ran a story tonight about the Blue Star Mothers challenging Global Exchange concerning peace missions to Iraq. These missions involve taking family members of our military and Veterans. You can guess which groups Media Benjamin takes to Iraq.

The California Mom did an excellent job stating that they have a political agenda that actually hurts troop moral.
