The black vote in Mississippi was tested on this issue two years ago and you know the results. I would not want to use that wedge as a springboard.
Many southern Blacks don't like being told what's good for them by interlopers anymore than good ol boys (like me) do.
Thankfully.

"I don't believe we ought to be . . . keeping that flag on state grounds or federal grounds," Clark complained. The Confederate flag in question is flying at the Confederate Soldiers Memorial. I reckon Mr Clark would want to remove the Memorial as well.

"I don't believe we ought to be . . . keeping that flag on state grounds or federal grounds," Clark complained. Translation:
I don't believe we ought to let the people of South Carolina make any laws or decisions for themselves that we do not like. Just look at this stupid law that permits "that" flag to be flown on state property. It shows how truly backward these people really are. We know what is best for the people of South Carolina, not these yokels. Yes it their law and it is their state but we will not respect any law we do not agree with or which was written by such unenlightened people. It is for their own good that we disrespect their laws and their customs. Yes we believe in the right of all people to vote, but they should not be allowed to choose just any old leaders they want. When this kind of uninformed voting happens we end up with situations like this one.
