I've never been airborne, but I think the kevlar helmets for paratroopers are still different. I know that the chinstrap is different.
The helmet and chinstrap in this photo are exactly like mine.

The flag is not backwards. The field of blue is always to point in the direction of forward motion.

The image was reversed, why is the US flag backwards? The US flag is not "reversed". It is displayed this way to signify the soldier walking forward into battle.
