I knew you wouldn't get it, so allow me to explain: the only 'genocide' or, more accurately, 'pogrom' that has been on-going in Kosovo for several generations now, is the 'pogrom' of the Serbs by the Albanians. Genocide consists of taking people and blowing their brains out at close range. Which Serbs did to Muslims in the former Yugoslavia (particularly in Bosnia, and they tried it in Kosova, but the USAF put a stop to that real quick).

Genocide is NOT moving into someone else's neighborhood. Otherwise whites engaging in "gentrification" by moving into black neighborhoods, Mexicans would be committing "genocide" by crossing the Rio Grande, and the seven black school children who went to Little Rock High School fifty years ago would be committing "genocide" against their white classmates.

I just HATE to bring LOGIC into this little tiff, BUT...if this WAS a Serbian website (in which case I would gratefully not have to deal with you ;0), the word "Shiptar" would INDEED be a SLUR.

But - this is an ENGLISH web site. And "Shiptar", however you spell it, is Albanian for - an Albanian. Or do you have something against knowledge of foreign languages, too?

The Albanians in KOSOVO (get it right) did not just "move" into someone else's neighborhood.

They have systematically attacked Serbs for most of the past century (rapes, house burnings, murder, assault, exclusion from government and academic posts under Tito, you name it). They drove 1/2 to 3/4 of a MILLION Serbs out of Kosovo between 1941 and 1989. And with our shameful help they drove out the rest in 1999.

Now, that does not excuse Milosevic's gangsters going down there and doing what they did - but it DOES provide some HISTORICAL CONTEXT.

The main reasoning behind the push to assess and learn about the KLA can be described in the old saying of keep your friends close and your enemies closer. The KLA could one day decide they may like to make a point with the British an do to them what they did to the Serbs. Any power will always seek to understand the strengths and weakness of a so called allie that could one day become an enemy. We are involved in a war based on extreme religious ideology that simply seeks the destruction of the west. The Albanians as far as I am concerned are on the fence and like it or not the west will have no choice but to embrace the Serbs as true allies in this what the jihadists call a crusade.
