Maggie, hope that you can get the heating problem solved. Your writing is so wonderful and it seems as though you are sitting across from me telling me these viginettes from life.

Take care of yourself, Cuzzzzzzzzzz, 'cause you are so very special to all of us here at the "finest".

All of my relatives and parents friends had so many "things" and pictures and etc, that we kids were always playing outside. Living on the Isle of Palms and James Island, it wasn't any hardship staying outside from dawn to dusk.

We were required to nap every afternoon, but managed more than once to sneak out of the house,(giggle)!

BTW - there is a lull in The Storm.

Heater is back on now, but might fail again.
Might be 'sick.' and the repairman will be back in the a.m. to determine What Next...

I can remember going to visit Mrs. Fishburn at their home on Rainbow Row, she was such a tiny woman. I love going to visit her.

I am going to say good night early. I need to get the weekend post ready.

Once again, a huge thank you to Dixie and visualops for creating this presentation today. You made my job so much easier! And thanks to everyone who added their contributions to this thread. I always learn something interesting on the state threads. Today I have learned that I must someday experience South Carolina. :-)

To all of you who couldn't make it today, you were missed. Billie, get better soon. LadyX hope you manage to stay warm tonight.

Good night all.

Remember in Dr.Zhivago where he is walking back through deep, ice-covered snow up to his thighs, all wrapped up like a mummy?

I might have to sleep like that tonight!!

Great post on South Carolina you all!

My GreatGrandpa was from Charleston, he was a Lieutenant in the Confederate Army and made the first monument (another first) to the Confederacy out of a big piece of Italian marble in Cheraw that has around 100 unknown Confederate soldiers buried under it.
