What would it likely be?

See Afghanistan, c. 2001.

I rather doubt that we would make much of a distinction between such an attack on Toronto and one on Buffalo, don't you?

It is still PC to not allow animosity towards Islam and Moslems the way our press and government demonized nips and krauts in WWII so we have to keep an individual supervillain for that purpose

We've got tens of thousands of Muslims in our military fighting in the war of terror. Are you proposing that we show them animosity?

Yor're right, it's a Chinese finger puzzle. The harder the pull, the tighter the grip. .

These people are stupid -- they need to realize that another attack will only make our resolve stronger, and our vengeance more bloody. If they really want the US public to quit fighting them, they need to quit attacking and threatening us. Then, after a while, the US public will lose interest....

It's odd that Osama isn't doing video... Would a cover story about him not wanting to blow his cover after plastic surgery work?

OBL could could possibly remain alive but I doubt it. If a clear videotape is issued starring OBL that indicates conclusively that he is alive, with, say, a current newspaper in the picture and no evidence of creative splicing, then I would accept that he is alive. But AQ doesn't do videos any more. They are harder to fake than audios.

No, I think Al Qaeda will strike where it thinks there will be no retaliation. I think they will strike france.

My daughter and son-in-law are headed for France this weekend. They have promised not to fly out of either London or Paris. I hope to be in email contact with them as they travel around Europe.

We had thousands of German -Americans and Japanese-Americans in our forces in WWII. If we lose a city to a semitrailer nuke then we will get serious about this war as a people and, I suspect many things will change, including PC attitudes. The Democrats and the rest of the left will wail the louder but their ranks will shrink dramatically and they will no longer be relevant.

Every predominately Muslim country is poor. And the more Muslim, the more poor. That's poor in spite of natural resources.

Think of Japan. There's not one worthwhile natural resources on the rock called Japan - not oil, not gold, not silver, not copper, nothing. The soil's bad, mountains cover much and everything's in an earthquake zone. In spite of that, they're a wealthy county.

Now compare that to any Muslim country and you'll see it's not the wealth you bring up from the ground that matters, it's the ideas, beliefs, and culture that makes the difference.

If you put the average Muslim country on a pool of oil, a mountain of diamonds, and a river of silver, they would still be poor and corrupt. Their hopelessness against the fates, anger against all who don't feel as they do, and blind worship of leaders known best for narrow brutality has doomed Muslims to second class citizenship in the world. It's time they took responsibility for their own fate. Time for reformation and reality. And if not reformation, they need to understand they've made the choices that have kept them poor ... and quit blaming the rest of us.

My impression is that some areas of the Mideast are getting more Westernized which is counter to the aims of the Muslim faith.
