Oh dear ohio... until you hear his voice, I know you will be torn apart.

Prayers for your peace & his safety & for minimal injury to our wonderful kids there who were wounded.

I came home early from my evening "out".. just knew I needed to come home. There is such comfort in knowing so many loving but faceless "friends" are all prayer warriors.

Love, hugs, & peace ! dolly

The mortars hit "a living area where they have their sleeping quarters," the spokesman said.....

On Wednesday, the coalition announced it was freeing 506 of 12,800 prisoners in a goodwill gesture also aimed at encouraging more Iraqis to come forward with intelligence against anti-American guerrillas.

FIRST, what kind of living quarters are they?. I've read they are in all kinds of shelters - even mobile homes. This is a combat zone. DIG IN! We are building new roads and buildings and bridges for the Iraqis and our troops don't have safe bases? Its not like we havn't had the time or money. Are we waiting for another Beirut? Fortify that sh*t people!

And on top of that we are freeing 500 of these scum and we Still have 12000! PRISONERS. THERE is your minesweeping solution right there. Im telling you - you can be a compassionate conservative but not a compassionate combatent! We need to start killing more of the enemy instead of giving them (insert the "A" word here). {AMNESTY}

Thank you so much for that information, boxer.

I've sent an e-mail to see if I can find out anything.

Still no word by phone.

The living quarters for most are nothing more than a tent, a bombed out hotel or other out building. My son has been living in a tin airport hanger for the last 10 months,

They are in barracks like buildings with separate rooms.....no indoor plumbing. Very basic.

"Eric was in a tent for 9 months. Just moved into the buildings at the Base."

That's good news - he'd be much safer during a mortar attack in a building than in a tent, I assume.

Father, you saided to go out and defend the helpless and that's exactly what our brave young soldiers are doing, please surround them with your mighty protection. You promised to ask ANYTHING in your name and it would be done, well Lord we are asking you BIG time to cover our soldiers at the battle front!! KEEP them safe from harm and let those who have been injured only be minor injures! IN JESUS NAME WE PRAY!
