....could it be that the guys at Reuters are getting a little too close to the story?

I suspect the Reuters folks were invited to watch the attack by the insurgents, and forgot to keep a distance from them.

Yeah Taranto is really wonderful. He was really at his best during the build-up to the war in Iraq -- he had a great influence on my thinking (along with the late Michael Kelly).

I never miss Taranto's daily column. It's at the free part of the Wall Stree Journal. The address is
