I think that Plame hadn't worked undercover for years and was just using that as a line to promote her mystique. I highly doubt that an undercover agent would divulge such information to a virtual stranger.
Thus, two scenarios emerge: either she lied to him, or he lied to Vanity Fair.
Either way, this smarmy SOB needs to have his 15 minutes of fame put to an end.

Many years ago I lived in an area where there were many people who worked for the federal government. I played on a softball team with some of them. When asked where they worked, almost all would say what agency they worked for. There were two guys on the team, though, who would only say that they worked for "the federal government." Everyone knew they were spooks.

Wilson is a creep.
BTW, was Wilson married when he met Plame? If not, how could he have "an affair", as it is commonly understood?

Joe Wilson has the Clinton personality, doesn't he? After reading about so much about him and his big mouth, there is no question about who outed his wife. Wilson loved to circulate at press parties, and, as Robert Novak said, it was "no secret" that's Plame worked for the CIA.
Wilson's problem is his enormous ego. I question if the third date story is even true. It just jacks up the public's image of him - that he's such a great lover that women are revealing state secrets on the third date.

Mr. Wilson himself seemed unfazed by the apparent conflict, telling the Post that his only complaint was that his wife "had to be clothed as generic blonde" in Vanity Fair photos to protect her identify.Oh, please..............
Get real.

I think if he plays this right, they could make a bundle on the porn video and be able to retire in style.

Hey, he's just trying to emulate Joe Namath's sastounding performance on ESPN recently, although, apparently Joe Wilson talks that way to his wife.

Wilson's decision to go public with details from his wife's sex life prompted dismay at the Washington Post, where editors have been trying to sell his complaint that the Bush White House blew his wife's cover as a serious national security scandal. LOL! I guess Time Magazine and the other propaganda rags are having a conniption fit about now! The Liberal Media was hoping (nay, praying) that this ridiculous, trumped up idiocy would be "Bush's IRAN/CONTRA! "
What a joke.
