Fresca was always a diet soda. I'm really, really trying hard not to repeat the old saw about drinking too much Fresca and snowing in my pants.
To: Johnny_Cipher
Oh, oh, we are up again!
Ok, I'm just waking up. I don't get the snowing -in-the-pants part.
Seltzer-in-the-pants?

I don't get the snowing -in-the-pants part. Sorry, its an old joke from a Fresca TV ad that ran back in the late 60s. The spokesman in the ad caused it to snow when he drank a bottle of the stuff.
And, my head is pleased to report that the water worked - no headache, no hangover.
To: Johnny_Cipher
OH! Kinda like the York peppermint patty ads, I guess. Thanks for explaining that.
Glad to hear that you're not sick. I wonder if others are....MAYBE I SHOULD KEEP IT DOWN A LITTLE...heh-heh.

MAYBE I SHOULD KEEP IT DOWN A LITTLE DON'T BOTHER ON MY ACCOUNT. MY ONLY HEADACHE RIGHT NOW IS WHETHER THE TV WILL WAKE UP THE SLEEPING CAT!

Well, it sounds like the first one to come out will be season one. I will probably pick a season I remember the most and buy that one....not the whole set. That would no doubt cost a fortune to buy them all. But, I am glad to see they finally will be releasing a DVD.

Fresca was always a diet soda. They still sell it in Georgia, I don't know about everywhere else.
How about that. I was drinking diet soda without even knowing it. The label didn't scream diet, as they do nowadays. Well, I drank it long before aspartame was part of the mix and may have even drunk some with good ol' sugar in it (some countries used sugar and I was an overseas AF brat when it first came out) which may explain the taste difference. The one I drank recently was definitely not as good as the ones I used to drink a few decades ago.
I'm in Florida and saw it briefly in a convenience store. I haven't seen it for several months now. Thanks for the clarification.

Light, refreshing citrus taste
With a unique citrus taste, Fresca is a caffeine-free soft drink that appeals to discriminating adults. Fresca was introduced as a calorie-free grapefruit-flavored drink in the United States, and was reformulated in 1985 with an aspartame sweetener base. Its bubbly, crisp, light taste provides a flavorful beverage to consumers who want great citrus taste in a calorie-free soft drink. Sold in countries throughout Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America, Fresca is sweetened with sugar in some parts of the world.

Dulles has its own police force (which includes friends of mine), trained and chartered under the aegis of the Commonwealth of Virginia with full police powers therein.
They also have jurisdiction over the George Washington Parkway adjacent to Reagan National Airport, the US Park Police notwithstanding. They are exceedingly well-trained and have been good hosts re: providing firing range access, supervision, and training to us near Dulles for Boy Scout marksmanship activities.
They can and have overruled the TSA clowns if need be and are the designated first responders for virtually all incidents at Dulles which are not clearly under the jurisdiction of US Customs (now called ICE). FBI/SWAT is called in if an aircraft is commandeered or attacked, and FBI and/or ICE generally take over custody of perps if other Federal laws are involved.
I'm glad that the Dulles police nailed this guy as opposed to one of his fellow feds.......
