Well there are two things here that make me want to barf:
1. The prospects of GWB selling out our country and putting a knife in the back of the American Worker.
2. The commies on this thread who rather attack Pat Buchanan instead of discussing #1.
You only listed two alternatives. Electrical Engineers, radiologists and accountants are only a few of the valuable job skills being shipped overseas. Thus, your "more valuable skills" argument is pure horse manure. Your other argument of "changing their standards" has the stench of Judas. There is a third option. We could apologize to Ross Perot for our being too shortsighted to heed his warnings, and we could beseech him to reorganize his third party. There would be a stampede to join.

Nope. I forgot the sarcasm tag. Out sourcing is a serious problem, but this is something quite different. In the majority of economic sectors, you can't just find untrained "replacement" workers, import them, pay them peanuts and expect your business to do anything but go under. Pat is exaggerating the potential problem.
