What's wrong with ChiChi's? Besides the obvious....

Outbreak of hepatitis from the green onions.

But hey--I have got food poisoning from the Four Seasons in Boston---so no place is safe.

Next--some journalist will do an article on how we should all stay away from Supermarkets.

From the Rocky Mountain News
It was the utter innocence of a children's pizza place called Chuck E. Cheese that made the multiple murders there so shocking in 1993.
It was the neighborhood hangout in a safe section of suburban Aurora, a spot where the noise typically came from rambunctious kids squealing in delight - not from dying teens crying in pain.
Someone gunned down all five people who were closing the restaurant on Dec. 14, 1993, in a city that was preparing for Christmas. Most of the victims were young people working after-school jobs. The crime shocked a community of caring people.

to clarify: I meant whatever led to the crime, that led to a death penalty, was "overreaction", thinking of someone's seriously disturbed reaction to an imagined slight. Article doesn't indicate why Nathan Dunlap committed such a heinous crime.

Culture clash, eh? Important details that somehow did not make it into the story, even between the lines. Peculiar how that sometimes happens, when matters of culture clash are involved.

In my limited experience, someone who does something like belt someone, and then immediately does a bunk, has at least one good pre-existing reason for not desiring contact with authority. These reasons often are related to immigration status (probably not, in this particular place) or open warrants.

Most people would flip if they knew how many bail jumpers were loose in their community.

Just in time for this thread, I was unexpectedly invited to a birthday party at an urban Chuck E. Cheese. Unfortunately, I think I will be unable to attend, out of state on business. So the kid will get a card and a gift instead. What a pity...

The thread is about "Chuck E. Cheese", not "Chucky Sleeze"!
