If nothing happens between now and february 2nd, and nothing at all like they predicted, do you thionk they'll admit they were wrong?
NO, the Govt. will never admit to anything.
The terrorists are costing the US a billion a week in secutity. Its not only the cost but the inconvenience to everyone.
At a billion a week, how long can we afford numbers like that.?
I had friends trying to leave Miamia yesterday. It was a 31/2 hr. lineup ,then they were taken to another terminal and waited there for an hour before flying.

Wasn't talking about the government, I was talking about the private website listed as the source of this article. The government isn't saying these things.
As for the cost, I'd rather pay it than the alternative. Maybe we can use it as leverage --"we can either spend money to fight terrorists, or we can fund NPR and 'public art' - which would you rather have".
Then keep doing that with unconstitutional spending programs...

"I think the day they get WMD here, they'll use them--none of this building up the perfect plan, waiting for the big Christmas rush, etc. Have you forgotten the amount of planning and coordination and waiting that went in to taking down four airplanes simultaneously? By your logic, they should have only done one.
They want big strikes against us. And they have publicly announced big strikes. Not little strikes. Big strikes take planning and coordination.
What's more, if the sources for this info are internal to Al Q like they said, then no amount of speculation should override what our sources internal to AL Q are telling us.

Well I know NIN had the threats from cargo planes posted several days before the offical announcement and mainstream press coverage started that cargo planes were a threat.
So in the sense that Al Q hasn't pulled off an attack with cargo planes yet, they have not been proven right. But in the sense that they put information out that was latter verified as a legitimate threat by the Office of Homeland Security, then yes they have been proven right.

Of course, you were quoting debkaka, which may do good reporting on past events, but has an abysmal track record when it comes to predictions.
Hear of recent reports of threats to New York, Washington and Los Angeles, and why we are now at a threat level orange?
This article is your proof on predicting future events. The threat was highlighted here first!

"A radical Muslim threatens the U.S.
The Yahoo group Daleel Al-Mojahid (Guide for the Jihadi) has gotten attention in the past few months for passing on threats against Americans. Those threats didn't turn out to be substantive, but the man posting there now offers an oblique excuse: "We promise you a big surprise coming soon which was delayed due to the stupid play of bush and his wizards in the black house."
BTW, when did ramadan end this year???? And when was this article written about these warnings? Why it was november 3rd.
Debkaka may be good at searching for threats made on the internet, but their 'intelligence' ability to assess the threat is worthless.

"we can either spend money to fight terrorists, or we can fund NPR and 'public art' - which would you rather have".Flash; I think the public art is so wonderful. I liked the piece done for the library in NY. And if you believe this, I have some great waterfront property for you in Phoenix. Regards, and have a great Holiday.

"I'm beginning to wonder if Kadafi's sudden change of heart may have had more to do with pending operations than with Saddam's capture?"
I've been thinking the same thing. I bet he not only saw the ghost, but is telling our people all he knows about the upcoming operation, and that he is one of the "confirming sources."
