I think the "phoniness" to which you refer is a valid word.. I think my term breeding is also correct. She never went thru being her own woman. She was taught at finishing schools and had the whispering voice as part of that scenario. Most of us with no or little exposure to it find it rather humorous.. but when you go to those places where normal healthy young gals who can laugh loudly & speak assertively are "molded" into proper ladies.

Somewhere between the repressed Jackie O & the vulgar Hildebeast is a great American woman.. and that is why most of us like Laura

"She's A Lady"

Well she's all you'd ever want,
She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner.
Well she always knows her place.
She's got style, she's got grace, She's a winner.
She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady.
Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine.
Well she's never in the way
Something always nice to say, Oh what a blessing.
I can leave her on her own
Knowing she's okay alone, and there's no messing.
She's a lady. Whoa, whoa, whoa. She's a lady.
Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine.
Well she never asks for very much and I don't refuse her.
Always treat her with respect, I never would abuse her.
What she's got is hard to find, and I don't want to lose her
Help me build a mountain from my little pile of clay. Hey, hey, hey.
Well she knows what I'm about,
She can take what I dish out, and that's not easy,
Well she knows me through and through,
She knows just what to do, and how to please me.
She's a lady. Whoa, whoa, whoa. She's a lady.
Talkin' about that little lady and the lady is mine.
Yeah yeah yeah She's a Lady
Listen to me baby, She's a Lady
Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady
And the Lady is mine
Yeah yeah yeah She's a Lady
Talkin about this little lady
Whoa whoa whoa whoa
Whoa and the lady is mine
Yeah yeah She's a Lady
And the Lady is mine.

OH come on now.

What I'd really like to see is a Dennis Kucinich / Janet Reno matchup!

Talk about HOT!!!!!!!

Imagine Dennis as President and Janet as First ....Uh.....First......UHHHHH.....well never mind...but you can now thank me for putting that image in your head.

Just don't fall asleep because the nightmares will continue.

*** Brian Kilmeade is such a dork. In a good way***

You're right! They're all kind of dorks, but they're fun--they'll say whatever is on their mind, and sometimes get into hilarious discussions. You never know WHAT to expect. But they're also very smart and informed, and passionate about their beliefs. And I think it says something that they were invited to the WH party last week--the President and First Lady appreciate them and their support. Fox and Friends are/is pretty tough on critics of the administration, if it's not justified.

Jack was loved by almost everybody and he and Jackie made a beautiful couple.

Maybe to look at, but they were a total FRAUD.

They were not a couple. George W. and Laura are a ***COUPLE***

(Know what I mean??)

Are you saying that because the press fawned over Jackie, that made her more attractive?? How much sense does that make?

Jackie, and Camelot, were nothing more than a myth, Action. They would never get away with it now. Jack was a rotten husband, and their marriage a sham. It was all a myth.

I'll take this red-blooded, REAL couple any day (and that includes Laura's husband!).

Thanks for the ping, CM55. What a gracious and lovely First Lady Laura is - in every way.

And I'm so grateful that this Christmas' decorating theme at the White House is children's books and stories.

....No hash pipes or condoms, thank heaven!
