I've heard that this "story" is just that, a story, similar to the one about one of the soldiers saying, "President Bush sends his regards." Drudge is prossibly not the most reliable source of news from Iraq.

He should be happy that he was captured by a US soldier. Had it been a different time, a different nation... he might not have survived to see his spit land.
Had it been a different time with soldiers of this nation, he might well not have survived to see his spit land.

Speaking of cash money, Wonder if Bruce Willis was able to find the soldier's name that captured Saddam alive?
I also want to stress the importance of captured ALIVE.
This soldier had a grenade ready, and could have literally BLOWN the whole thing. With Saddam in little pieces, our friends, the Russians, the French, the Germans, would not have felt compelled to suddenly reversve their previous attitude about helping out in Iraq. Syria and Iran wouldn't have felt so compelled to suddenly go along with UN inspections, etc.
This soldier, with life at risk, showed the courage, patience, and strength of the AMERICAN SOLDIER. He should get the $mill from Bruce Willis. We should have the media use him as THE AMERICAN HERO. Get the pathetic parts of the American public to finally show some appreciation for the true hope of America. The younger generation, willing to brave the fear of death to protect their country/family/friends/way of life.
If you ask me, the Million Bucks is nothing compared to what we have asked, and they have accepted risking.
Anyone that thinks "that's easy for you to say", "what did you risk", needs to know a little more about me before jumping to conclusions.

I'm for that. I am sure the reason the army and the White House made no mention, was that every act, no matter of the intention or outcome, would be used to help Saddam and bash the present Administration, the DOD, etc.

Anti-Claus.
I'd pay money to see Saddam and Tyson fight.
There'd be spitting, biting, punching, clawing, kicking, and then some.
Saddam would be lucky just to be able to spit once.

Can't wait for our hyper-PC Army brass to bring charges against this patriot much like they did against Col. West.
