I wonder if Ronly bin Laden will be by to tell us this is all because of those nasty Serbs (who deserve to be squashed like bugs)!

Greece has determined that its national security interests are being threatened by Al Qaida-aligned Arab agents in Bosnia. Thank you, Bill Clinton, for making the Balkans safe for al Qaeda.

Read it again - the Greeks are getting their panties in a twist because something
could happen, not because it actually is.
Meanwhile, the US has been in Bosnia since 1996 and hasn't had any problems with Al Qaeda as it is in Afghanistan or Iraq, where a real problem exists and is being addressed.
In short, the Greeks need to worry about finalizing the victory over their own terrorists, who have actually killed Americans, rather than running off at the suck about hypotheticals coming from Bosnia where we've got the situation under control, regardless of what misinformed nitwits with not so hidden agendas for the region would have us believe.

And Clinton's interventions had the unintended consequences of turning Bosnia and Kosovo into new safe havens for al Qaeda.

You going to blame Reagan for turning Afghanistan over to Al Qaeda while you're at it?
The Soviets caused the problem in Afghanistan, and Milosevic caused the problems in Bosnia and Kosovo.
Lay the blame where blame is due, not where it's convenient or expedient.

However, we have turned Bosnia and Kosovo (especially the latter) into lawless zones where the peacekeepers control their bases and the thugs control the countryside.

We turned them into lawless zones?
Not really big on retention, are you.
Milosevic and his goons did their damdest to remove civil society from Bosnia and Kosovo - we are picking up the pieces he left behind and cleaning up where he shat the bed, and doing a much better job of it than you or our Slobophilic peanut gallery give credit for: Bosnia and Kosovo are nowhere near Afghanistan or Iraq, and to not have intervened would have meant either 2 million Muslim refugees in Europe from Bosnia, or 2 million Muslim refugees in Europe from Kosovo.
Remember Muslim refugees in Pakistan from somebody else's war and the consequences that followed?
You seem hell bent on trying not to.

Translation: The greek covernment fianally admitts they have no control over their northern borders. The are trying to figure out how to have nato join in to foot the bill (the americans) to help prop up their boarder.
Now if only we would do the same to prop up the US borders.

Killed how many Americans? November 17 has killed a total if 23 people in 25 years. Ooooo scary.

Hey Destro,
You're beginning to refer back to previous threads a lot in your posts.
I hope you're keeping a backup! ;-)

Greece is welcome to join the war on terrorism if she wishes to do so, and with the Olympics coming up next year, she'd better. But let's face it, up to now Greece has treated it as a jolly chance to bash U.S. foreign policy and not a lot more. That's because Greece didn't have very much at stake. Now she does.
To: Billthedrill
Greece has forces in Afghanistan as part of NATO's war on al-Qaeda.
It was Greece that begged America NOT TO SUPPORT Balkan Muslims.
