O'Reilly never has to retract anything he says. O'Reilly is so arrogant that he would never retract anything that he says.
Bill O'Reilly is a loud-mouth populist, just another Jim Hightower with a cable TV show.
"Your humble servant" my A$$. He's an egotistical loud-mouth.

I sometimes like O'reilly - but his anti 2nd Amendment stance and his support of Clinton irk me.
Now his attack on Drudge, especially advocating killing him, is an outrage.
Drudge does good work and calls it as he sees it. If OReilly has facts to back up any claim to refute drudge, he should put it out.. other than that.. truth is truth.
To: sinkspur
Oprah's viewers believe everything she says too. Ratings are a poor gauge of creditability.
Drudge is far more than just a webmaster. He is a journalist whose credibility ranks above The New York Times, the Washington Posts, or OReillys. Drudge is also a pioneer of Internet journalism and one of the reasons more and more people are getting their news from Internet publications than from the elite media.

Let's see.... Drudge has had how many scoops?
And O'Reilly's never even had one.
O'Reilly's a classless jerk who loves kissing liberal ass! He saves all the hard hitting follow up questions for conservatives while doling out praise for leftists.
He's all pomp and no glory.

Drudge is also a pioneer of Internet journalism and one of the reasons more and more people are getting their news from Internet publications than from the elite media. LOL!!! Drudge's website is nothing but a collection of links. He writes nothing, and his radio show is slotted on Sunday night, opposite short wave evangelists.
Drudge is not a journalist. His website features the New York Times and the Washington Post, and FOXNEWS, which features articles that O'Reilly actually writes.
You're right. People are getting information through Drudge's website, a collection of links to things other people write.
BTW, Michael Savage is ripping Drudge tonight, too, since Drudge left Savage's book out of his analysis of the year's top books, and Savage finished at #10, according to Neilsen.
So, Savage confirms O'Reilly's contention that Drudge is dishonest.

I would like to get Tammy Bruce and Camille Paglia over here for dinner. Man, would that be interesting.

If as you claim, Drudge writes nothing, OReilly and Savage have no reason to call him dishonest. According to you, he just posts links to other peoples work. Yet OReilly and Savage seem to think he writes something worth attacking.
So, it follows that either you are either totally unfamiliar with Drudges publication or you are being dishonest in order to prop up your point. Or OReilly and Savage are attacking a webmaster who did nothing except link to information they didnt like.
The credibility problem isnt Drudges. If your assertion is right OReilly and Savage have lost it. If they are right, you are either uninformed or dishonest.
Please get back to us when you fund out which scenario is correct.

Drudge writes news blurbs, most of which, of late, have been unfounded rumors. Much like the lies he told about the number of books O'Reilly sold vs. Al Franken and Hillary Clinton, while leaving out completely Michael Savage's book.
Look, Drudge's "scoops" are very often wrong, yet he never comes back to correct them. Instead, he rants and raves when one of the subjects of his "scoops" calls him on his falsehoods.
Don't you find it odd that Drudge doesn't link to Free Republic? He did, at one time, but apparently thinks Helen Thomas' columns are now more important.

In your previous post you wrote: LOL!!! Drudge's website is nothing but a collection of links. He writes nothing,
Did you just discover that Drudge writes news blurbs or were you being dishonest earlier to try to make your point?

His accuracy and facts are trustworthy. I guess in the course of time we will find out if that is so in this instance. O'R's blow up suggests that maybe the numbers are fake. O'R has been wrong from time to time about "facts," but most of the time he is just pushing his own opinions, rather than facts, which is fine, except that often those opinions are well, rather Manichean for my taste. Didn't O'R say he was going to turn on Bush if no WMD were found by the end of the year? I wonder if he will hue to that, and carry that stunt to fruition.

You can't have it both ways. If Drudge never writes anything of his own but only links to others, then any information about book sales figures on his site wouldn't be Drudge's dishonesty, but the dishonesty of whomever reported the figures he's listed. So which is it? Is Drudge dishonest and actually writes stories, or is he simply a link artist and the dishonesty is elsewhere? Or could it be that different sources have different numbers, and what Drudge cites is accurate, per the source?
Your O'Reilly defense is starting to creep into the shrill zone. The topic has morphed past Drudge into what an ass O'Reilly is. You're not going to "confirm" O'Reilly doesn't have personality issues by "confirming" someone used faulty book sales figures. That's like proving "I know my boss is nice because someone told me once that flowers smell nice in the spring".
O'Reilly used to be good, and useful, and entertaining. Now he's a self-congratulatory egotistical thin-skinned wash-up tabloid hack, maintaining ratings on the basis of his reputation. Of course, that's just my opinion. Does that "confirm" anything?

I used to like O'Reilly but he has turned into such a pompous blowhard. Same here. We might watch "The Factor" if he's got an interesting guest on, such as Michele Malkin, etc. At 8pm ET, we're tuning into CNBC's "Kudlow & Cramer" (or nothing at all) more than O'Reilly these days...

Michael Savage was trashing Druge last night over the book sales figures he posted. Savage was PO's his own book sales were not on the list and said what Drudge had posted was wrong. NOT that I care about any of this but Drudge has pulled the book/O'Reilly stuff from his page....
