The reporters will mostl likely say its cowardly to shoot around corners.

Yeah, lots of articles on the issue. Looks like the Israeli company finally decided to reveal most of the information on the gun, by their demonstration for the first time to reporters, as this article states.

Interesting that this article mentions the EpiLady, wasn't that developed as a device for interrogation of Palistinian terror suspects?
Ok, if not, ever wonder why there was never an "EpiGent"?

Sounds like gun that shot the magic bullet in 1963 was ahead of its time.

My tagline changed!! Now where did the old one go??

Interesting.
I read somewhere once that during World War II, the Germans actually produced machine pistols (a variation on the MP40 I think) that had bent barrels to shoot around corners. If that's true, I can't imagine those being effective. Now a remote sighting/firing system like this, that makes more sense.

I think you're right about that. This is a pretty old concept, although I'm sure the Israeli guns actually work well

I don't know about any Nazi equivalent...but, as discovered in my somewhat "interesting" youth, the G.I. .45acp "Grease Gun" had a right-angle replacement barrel, for shooting out of the slightly opened hatch of one's Tank.
Beat not trying, in theory.

during World War II, the Germans actually produced machine pistols (a variation on the MP40 I think) that had bent barrels to shoot around corners. One episode of the 60's television show Get Smart featured a gun with three barrels oriented at right angles that was used to hold up three people. Maxwell Smart referred to this as "The old three-way gun trick".

US "allegedly" had a special barrel for the "Grease Gun" too.
Accuracy was not the purpose.
Firing around corners in urban combat areas or in other problem conditions without getting killed yourself was purpose.
Barrels can be changed quickly on many military firearms.
